Where Have You Gone Judah Maccabee?

Day 681, 19:04 Published in Israel Israel by Hyman Roth

“In Israel, in order to be a realist you must believe in miracles” -- David Ben-Gurion

This inaugural article of this ePaper, in this eWorld, where we embody ePersonalities with eAgendas, comes at a time when an entire eNation is eEmpathetically headed in precarious direction...eRegardless of a string of events that should raise doubt, concern, and debate amongst the people.

We are 4-days away from a Presidential Election and as I write, there are but two candidates on the ballot. Our incumbent leader has shown experience, intuitive instincts for the economics of the game, and an applaudable ability to appoint a cabinet that is efficiently and effectively reorganizing the IDF into the well-disciplined unit is must be for our small nation to survive.

That being said, under our current President's watch, the nation has also lost its entire treasury twice. If the near oligarchical class of vocal, active eIsraelis are to be believed, these losses were acts of sabotage, game glitches, a byproduct of a weak previous administration, or any combination thereof.

He also has an unseemly man-crush on Kanye West that manifests itself in thinly veiled hatred.

I pass no judgement as to the how, why, or under what circumstances these losses have happened, nor do I intend to give even the remote impression of that. (A disclaimer made necessary by the attacks thrown on me by the ruling-class-by-default, labeling me trollish and ignorant for raising concerns in the past).

What this situation demands is, at the very least, accountability. I think it can also be argued that the entire state would be best served by a full ballot of viable candidates, vibrant ideas, and debate in place of the apologetic and lowest common denominator loyalty on display for our current President. For each of this administrations small triumphs, a progressive idea (e.g. Kibbutz/Moshav creation, crafting a national ideology, strategies for increased immigration) has been left by the wayside.

The ruling class of our small nation is undoubtedly insular, self-protective, and dangerously close to myopic. If the loudest voices are right, and their intent is good and experience invaluable, it's still no justification for absence of true progress.

As David Ben-Gurion states above, I am a realist, and I indeed believe in eMiracles as well. The names sake of this fake paper, Judah Maccabee, reclaimed and liberated Judea creating a glorious, self-determined dynasty. Perhaps, with only four days until we take the next step in our rebuilding of our small nation, unique voices will emerge amidst the monotone drone of our current ruling class.

The Chinese character for CHAOS is the same as that for OPPORTUNITY. Out of this mild chaos, perhaps we will move together as a people and create OUR opportunity. Perhaps we will have our realistic miracle.

Or not. What the hell do I know. I'm but a noobish, bored troll. Though this reformed black market gangster bears a striking resemblance to Mr. Ben-Gurion...hmmmmm.
