Where have the Vikings gone?
Is eNorway weak?
I intentionally start with this provocative question. I have heard many great things about Norway, I have seen that practically the whole North belonged to the country, until it started to voluntarily give them back to their former owners. And I applauded that decision because it does show a strong and good character which is important even for a country. So, Norway has a great past is eWorld-wise, one that is I admit quite hard to live up to - the impressive legacy of the vikings.
But nowadays it seems, that great legacy is starting to fail. I did notice straight away when I came here that Norwegian media has but a few papers; that they write fewer and fewer articles, beacuse nothing really happen here; and even those have less and less voters. Immigrants start to fill up the workplaces in the mines and factories, foreign companies start their business with imported workforce, and of course these have their own media. But I was surprised to see that these papers have a greater readership than the original papers.
And even in diplomacy I did notice strange things. Some could be explained by people (like the Romanian started RW in Northern - although that was fishy too), but some could not. The attempted takeover by some goons was averted some time ago, but it seems by yesterday's happenings that their legacy too lingers in Norwegian politic life. And now it seems we cannot even defend one region from an unauthorised RW. We have to ask allies to defend it for us?

De napjainkban ez a nagyszerű hagyaték mintha gyengülne. Azt rögtön észrevettem, amikor idejöttem, hogy az országban nagyon kevés az aktív újság; még kevesebb ír rendszeresen cikkeket, mert nincs igazán miről; és még ennél is kevesebb ember olvassa és votolja ezeket. Bevándorlók és szerencsevadászok töltik fel a munkahelyeket, és külföldi cégek veszik át a termelést, gyártást - és többnyire hozzák magukkal a munkaerőt is. És ezeknek bizony saját sajtójuk van, én csak azon lepődtem meg, hogy ezek bizony nagyobb népszerűségnek örvendenek, mint a norvég sajtó...
Még a politikában, a diplomáciai életben is furcsa dolgok történnek. Néhányat közben jól-rosszul megmagyaráztak (pl. Románia indította RW a Northern régióban - noha a sántikáló magyarázat ellenére is fircsa maradt a történet), másokat viszont nem. A nemrégiben majdnem sikeres hatalomátvételt néhány goon által még sikerült megakadályozni, de a tegnapi történések megmutatták, hogy bizony az ő hagyatékuk is ott van a norvég politikai életben. És most... most úgy tűnik, még egy felhatalmazás nélküli RW-t sem tudunk leverni egy régióban? A szövetségesekhez kell fordulnunk segítségért könyörögni?

The leadership in this country have sold it all to the Romanians, so I'm sorry to say, but Norway is dead. Russia will take back what belongs to them, and the ones to blaim are Salve and the Romanians, who backstabbed Russia.

peace is pretty much the arabs plus the european descendants of the egyptians/sicillians (french, italians), atlantis is most of the western world.

I love the venetians, great seafaring and technologically advanced people. also the old portuguese were great. in 17th century portugal blessed my country by giving us Spinoza, wisest philosopher of all time and important figure of modern day dutch society.
How do you fit in your theory the brasilians, the indoneese, or hungarians? Are they too arabs and egyptians? Or on the other hand, the half moor spanish and latinish romanians?

indonesians, I know little about. I like the dutch-born indonesians though.
hungarians.. I know little about either, I like romanians better. also I never see hungarian cars in my country, yet there are romanian cars.
we probably all came from africa btw, there were just tribes that lived more in caves and shadows so over time their skin turned lighter. pretty interesting are african tribes with blond hair btw.

Well, scientist say that we all came from Africa and Bible says that we all come from Adam and Eve, az other religions have a common ancestral pair to, so... I do think and believe (yes, believe) that we are related to each other. And I have no problem with the idea either, there are greater differences between any two people than any two nations or racial groups. I am more comfortable with the idea of hating one particular man or woman because what he/she did than hating abstract ideas like countries, because they always contain likeable men/women as well as the other kind.
Mind you I will never like Romania, because it occupies Hungarian land. It is a case of ... how should I say it... an acute case of indigestion, might express it fairly well.

I've thought this through too. It's weird that I haven't seen any articles in Norwegian the time I have spent here through my eLife. The leaders of eNorway speak Norwegian though, I know that, but it seems that they'd be much more comfortable with English. Of course this is a good thing for me anyway.
But it really has surprised me that the newer players haven't started to use Norwegian, you'd think that they would like to. Maybe eNorway hasn't got that many new players that the affect would be that big.
The Vikings have followed the example of Dio Brando. Where He and His followers returned to the sand, the Vikings have returned to the snow. Only Salve and Forconin remain of the Æsir of old, and soon they too must become one with the sacred snow.
I am sure they will make fine snow-statues on the main sqare of eOslo.
