Where Have I Been?

Day 930, 20:04 Published in Canada Canada by Auk Rest

First off, I must say I'm sorry for not writing articles over the last three weeks. I haven't really been motivated to write anything, and to tell you the truth, I don't feel like writing right now either, but I made a promise in my Austrian article that the weekly war reviews would start up again. Here we go!

Week One and Two

In my last article, EDEN was under heavy fire in Europe, Aquitaine and the Rhone Alps were attacked, Austria was a battleground, China was getting attacked by Russia, and Canada had taken Brittany and Pays de la Loire from France. The aftermath of these battles was decisive, PHOENIX could not put forth a victory. What could have been a terrible terrible day for EDEN turned out not so bad.

Poland was threatened again in Austria though, and was handily removed. Hungary invaded Slovakia's holdings in the Czech Republic and still currently hold parts of Austria and the Czech Republic. Sweden surprisingly had won the battle of Mecklenburg West Pomerania from Germany and Poland had region swapped into the region. Slovenia was tasked with region swapping through Germany and out towards Mecklenburg to remove Poland.

Poland had other sights though, and swapped through Sweden and Norway to the region of Sorlandet. Sorlandet is important because it borders the United Kingdom. How is this important you ask? Well no one really knows for sure, and many people have put forth theories about it. The most logical explanation would probably be that Poland is seeking Canadian titanium (region swap), and must only defeat the United Kingdom in one region to safely reach Canada.

A notable highlight of Week Two was the battle for Liaoning between the United States and Serbia. EDEN Mobile Corps sent everything they had to try and end Serbian hold of Liaoning. If Liaoning were to fall, then PHOENIX's iron production would be severely damaged, since Heilongjiang now belongs to China. Unfortunately, PHOENIX secured this region and EDEN had to pack their bags and head home, to try again.

Week Three

Now heading on to week three. After the loss in Liaoning, India decided to try and fight Pakistan: who caused the whole incident with Serbia in the first place, allowing the Serbs to get to Liaoning. India defeated Pakistan, but Iran counterattacked in Balochistan, which was a very glitched battle. The fight for Balochistan lasted for about two days before it finally ended. India failed in its conquest of Pakistan, but nothing is stopping them from trying again.

Indonesia has also been an active player in Week Three, almost destroying the Philippines, but failing because of a timed resistance war in Malayan held Palawan. China intervened and beat the Indonesians back.

Australia almost fell to Indonesia, not through war, but through PTO. The Indonesian candidate in Australia lost by only about 100 votes. The situation in Australia is a precarious one, as the politicians struggle to understand that approving any citizenships from Indonesia to Australia could prove fatal in their struggle against them.

An interesting turn of events has unfolded in the Baltics. Estonia of PHOENIX has been attacked by its ally Latvia: also a member of PHOENIX. Estonia refuses to let Latvia up through the country to attack Finland, an EDEN member. Each time the Latvians go through, they destroy a Q5 hospital in Pohja-Eesti, a high grain region and also the RL Estonian capital. There is now also an issue about stolen Estonian gold and money.

The attack from Latvia has raised questions about whether Estonia is in the right alliance. In real life, Finland and Estonia are friendly with each other, not enemies. However, Estonia has been attacked by Finland before in search of high grain. PHOENIX, seeking to put an end to this, wants Latvia to pay Estonia back the gold it stole plus extra for starting this fight. Latvia refuses to do so, but a Latvian has been elected to the PHOENIX high command and may pursway Latvia to pay Estonia back.

Conclusin

That's about all I can remember of what's happened in these past three weeks (this is terrible reporting on my job), but the reviews will be much better starting next week, where I will go once again only one week at a time. Thanks for your patience.
