The Winding Road

I was gone. Into a life of unknown certainly, I quickly got a job, in the land industry, and with in a small amount of time, was over the 7 skill mark, this is when things kind of went downhill for me, the market was in slump, I kept working and the world economy sunk into a great depression, when I went back on the Crimson chat, I had found out that they too had a wage cut, it was barely enough to buy the food needed to keep their wellness up.

But even in those dank day, there was always warmth in the crimson home, I admired these people for it, even in the depression, the men and women, always had a smile and always had a chuckle in their hearts.

I popped in every now and then, and always received that warm crimson welcome, it was a lot better that the dank brooding atmosphere that was the eWorld.

But as soon as the depression had come, it was gone, around the time, that the hospitals changed their policies to only healing war wounds. Now people needed to buy their food, and gifts were received a lot better. This sparked fired the boom in the industry that allowed me to get a wage of 1.05 gold a day. It was high times and I was not about to forget my friends back in crimson.

Every now and then when I came on I’d usually have a Q1 house to give away, or some gold to spare, I donated it to those I felt deserved it. It was good times, good times indeed.

With the economy now in rebound, I saved my wage, and called in a few people who still were unbanned and had earned me money. It was good, and by the end of the month, I had made 30 gold. Things were coming back and I was making money.

Over the 2 months, I had amassed a gold hoard of 100 gold, I did this mainly by saving my hard earned gold, but a few friends had left and 3 people had joined via my ref link, gaining me my fourth SB medal. This being in the time of 5 gold per person and not of the treasure maps.

I was a regular on Crimson now, I was back to every night again, but not out of requirement, but because I wanted to. It was nice and I usually bugged the poor people about my gold hoard. Then gave out a few pieces here and there.

Then I remember the night that TemujinBC asked me what I was going to do with my hoard, I replied that I was probably going to open up a company in V2 if it ever comes, he, simply said. “I’d buy a diamond company now mate.

I looked into it, and found one that had a 5 gold discount, I sent him the link and he checked it out, he seemed like he liked it, so I bought it, and so was born, WTI Diamonds, with the remainder of the money, I bought a market license to Spain, and invested 100 CAD into the company.

That was also the month I choose on a wing mind you, to run for congress, it was my first time trying to run for anything. I announced this to my friends in the TCO, and they were more than happy to help me out.

The 25th rolled around, and right off the bad I got 4 votes, bringing me to the #1 most voted, for the time, over the day I kept a solid lead until the end, when I slipped to second, and then I got bumped out of a spot, I spent most of this time on IRC chatting with the CPF, and made more friends, Salem Lovenkraft, and I got aquatinted with Addy Lawrence, a very good man.

Then the clock ticked down, it shortened and I was still in third place, the 1st place guy got another vote, ten minutes left, Addy rallied our voters, and they came to the call, people were flying on last minute trips, to everywhere! Dust came in and it was madness, when it all settled and the dust cleared, I looked at the score.

I lead the polls in Saskatchewan, the other CPF member in close second.

There was mass celebration, in the CPF room, with me especially; having the people take faith in me, along with my party was such a great feeling. The party lasted into the wee hours of the morning, and all I remember was Addy Lawrence doing some, crazy dance involving a lamp shade and a fish, and Salem Lovenkraft, going for his 48th shot of vodka, how he woke up in the morning, fine, I do not know. But, good times, I will always remember.

As congress went in, I played a roll, small yes but still. It was a good experience, in that one month, I opened my company up to public investments, and money flowed in, gaining a 120 gold in less than 3 days.

My diamond company is still to this day doing great, I have programs set up there to help my employees, I sought reelection for congress, but this time in NWT, the only people who voted for me, were my RL friends, who don’t really play this game, they have accounts yes, and every so often I call them up when I need something, and they do it.

It hurt a bit indeed since not a single person from my party, the TCO, or the public voted for me. I didn’t even vote for me, I was sent over to cast my vote in New Brunswick.

But the agitation passed, and now I am here, writing the biography of my life here. But now what does Penguin do? What will the Penguin go for? What will happen to eCanada? Penguin doesn’t know. The rest is still unwritten.
