I remember when I was a child there was no XBOX

There was no PS4

What am I talking about? There was no Play Station at all !!!

I had something called Sega

But believe me I never felt bored of it, although qualities were low but satisfaction could be gained easily.

I don't know about you, I don't know what happened, but with all these new gaming consoles I can not be satisfied like old days, now with all these technology improved I feel bored even more ! To be honest, with my old device and a few games I never felt bored that time!!

When I look at the new generation, I can not see satisfaction in these children faces!

I missed my old days, How about you? What do you think?

Gaming has evolved alot, and many people feel in the wrong direction. With the simple controls, yet incredible demand of focus and concentration, some old games made you feel like you just climbed a mountain when you finally beat them. I don't feel that way with many games today, and unlike in the past, where the difficulty and challenge hooked me, now it's usually the storyline and complexity/depth. That and many other players on console these days play primarily pvp, which limits game experience imo.

I still remember games made for 386/486 based PCs, like Wolfenstein, Duke Nukem, Dune... xD as well as later generations like Air Strike, Aces of WW1, Alien Hunter (I would appreciate if I could find a copy of this game, and whether it can work on 64-bit Windows)

you would get them in collections of games : games arcade 160 games in one cd stuff like that. you could also just buy an ancient computer for cheap.

actually i bought one for about 30 euro last year. computer shops sometimes have old machines.

There's an application called "Dosbox" that allows you to play old DOS games on Windows. Just google it and re-live those memories 😛

Also, i believe old Sega games are available @ steam.

I had an NES and then a Genesis when I was a kid, and I know what you mean. I just think games in the past had no choice but to rely on gameplay as their hook. Nowadays, developers have so many things to play with/worry about that sometimes they forget the simple things that make a game good.

My cousin had one
A Nintendo 64

That time he had brought it from USA, cant imagine how interesting it was for us ...... and still, with all new consoles, it is ,,,,,,

I started out with Pong on TV.

Then went to the Atari 2600.

From there it was Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis,( with CD drive) N64 and then Wii and WiiU.

My recently set up the Super Nintendo, Sega and N64 in the basement with an old TV( they won't work on digital tvs) for my kids to use. Still play great.
