What the Government is Doing, In terms of RL money

Day 1,123, 07:07 Published in USA USA by Jelly9473

This time I'll be exploring how much countries are spending (In terms of gold to RL USD) on things like battles, RW's, DoW's, MPP's, as well as how much a country is earning on taxes.

Once again, all of my "calculations" Will be in terms of the 25 gold for $13.12 RL-USD.

Using this purchase means that 1 gold = 0.52 Rl-USD

To make things easier...1 gold = 50 cents RL-USD

MPP's

This ones not too hard to calculate

Simply, an MPP costs 100g for each country....so 200g total.

100g = $50
200g = $100

Pretty steep if your a county like USA that currently has 21 MPP's:

21 X 100 = 2100g or, $1050.00

This can be a bit more interesting if your looking at how many battles an MPP gets you, and how much your paying for a battle.

If an MPP with Croatia that we paid 100g for gets us 20 battles a month we would end up paying only 5g per battle. $2.50
Battles and RW's

The cost to attack a region, or to Resistance War it was the same (unless you've got a bug).

However, now the actual attack on a region is free and this cost only applies to a Resistance War:

Specific Regions:

Karnataka, Rubber (old high iron), originally eIndian, held by Pakistan: 62.6 gold = $30.8

Great, Poland. Grain : 499.5 = $249.75

California, USA. Grain : 258g = $129

Mindanao, Iron, originally ePhilippines, held by Indonesia : 32.1g = $16.05
The Cost of Declaring War (a DoW)

Through the "Natural Enemy" Feature a DoW cost can now be avoided..but however some countries may not be able to use it for some strategical, or non-strategical reason and will decide to pay for a DoW.

A certain ex-President has told me that he believes the cost of a DoW to be currently around 1200g = $600. A health weekly salary.

When I was president of ePhilippines the cost was around 250-270g = $125-$135.
Earnings from Taxes (Daily)

This statistic was calculated by measuring the amount of a countries local currency (as that is where the majority of countries make their daily income) and checking to see what it would be the next day taking in to account donations, construction proposals, and money issuing proposals. Totals were taken 17:30 erepublik time each day.

USA
Day 1: 63963.31 USD
Day 2: 20376.06 USA + a Donation Proposal of 63917 USD = 84293.06
Day 2 - Day 1 = 20329.75 USD profit.
1 USD = 0.02g
20329.75 USD = 406.6g
406.6g = $203.3 of US government profit from taxes a day!

eUK
Day 1: 57732.96 GBP
Day 2: 61384.94 GBP
Day 2 - Day 1 = 3651.98 GBP profit
1 GBP = 0.022g
3651.98 GBP= $80.34 of UK government profit from taxes a day!

Serbia
Day 1: 6698.64 RSD
Day 2: 8547.16 RSD + 45000 RSD donation proposal = 45847.16 RSD
Day 2 - Day 1 = 39148.52 RSD profit
1 RSD = 0.018g
39148.52 RSD = 704.67g
704.67g = $352.33 of eSerbian government profit from taxes a day!

Brazil
Day 1: 7146.31 BRL
Day 2: 24794.20 BRL
Day 2 - Day 1 = 17647.89 BRL profit
1 BRL = 0.028g
17467.89 BRL = 494.14g
494.14g = $247.07 of eBrazilian government profit from taxes a day!

Philippines
Day 1: 5549.37 PHP
Day 2: 6059.91 PHP
Day 2 - Day 1 = 510.61 PHP profit
1 PHP = 0.017g
510.61 PHP = 8.68g
8.68g = $4.34 of ePhilippines government profit from taxes a day!

These were my "trial countries" It's very possible that I messed up completely...so if you see an error please let me know

RL Money Profit a Day:

The eUS makes $203.30
The eUK makes $80.34
eSerbia makes $352.33
eBrazil makes $247.07
ePhilippines makes $4.34
I may do a personal follow up of these countries just to see if the tax revenue increases or decreases..luckily none of the countries I tested were losing money.

(This does not take in to account the new citizens fee...I was too lazy and didn't really think it would make /too/ big of a difference in the overall numbers scheme...you get the picture pretty much)

Thank you for once again reading my articles and if you like what you read please stay subscribed...I'll have to find a new topic to write about as the RL $ to g ideas have pretty much all been used up

This just about sums up my recent focus for my articles
