What the candidates SHOULD be focusing on.

Day 1,079, 01:40 Published in Australia Australia by Callumh123

Over the pass few days i have heard the squabbles between Wally Wilson and Hinokai. Frankly they are both at fault.

Economy
I don't understand why people are even considering a full scale war with eIndonesia when we cannot afford one. Our economy is growing stronger everyday and the Government and citizens as well need to try and get our foreign friends working in eAustralia. Making wages attractive is always the key but since we cannot do this at the moment i would say give some extra incentive, it makes a job offer in eAustralia look more prosperous. More workers means more of a demand for companies and more supplies will be coming out. The dollar itself is steadily improving each day and letting people looking to move to eAustralia know that we are recovering and we are accepting anyone at any level. The Government does not even have to pay much to get the economy working, usually with a bit of a push it will fix itself.

Military
eAustralia should not be involving itself majorly in any major conflicts unless absolutely necessary. For example if eIndonesia continue to press on eAustralian soil. The MoD needs to be experienced, excellent leadership skills and an active player, on the forums and yes on irc at crucial times. Good active marshals need to be appointed and be ready to supply on demand. And yes again should be on irc as well making getting supplies quicker and more efficient. An idea like bringing back the Red Backs should be discussed. In my opinion they should only be back to a lesser extent handing out food at only critical points of battle. Food needs to be rationed responsibly so the costs stay down. Times have changed and recruiting is more important than ever. If your a MoD or marshal it is simple, if you cannot even recruit then you shouldn't be in the job.

Our military is obscure at best and having a wider active military operation will be critical over the next few months. Oh and NO ATTACKING eINDONESIA DAMMIT! attacking eIndonesia must be one of the stupidest ideas i have heard. I may be hazy on the subject but isn't the reason they PTOed us was because we attacked them? And even with all these wars going on them we should be supporting our bros eUSA instead of wasting tons of gold attacking there native land.

Education and Human Services

I know more than anyone in eAustralia that MoE job is a lot harder than you may think. People see it as a lesser position because it is Human Services, NO. Education is the single most important department besides DoI. Newbies need knowledge and messaging is a hell of a lot more important than articles ever will be, i know that for a fact. I have also created a political biased Mentor Program, if your new and want to learn more just click this link for more info : http://community.auserepublik.com/index.php?board=206.0 . The Government needs to instigate a similar sort of program to keep contact, and tabs on how our newbies are progressing, a few gdocs or is all it takes to keep in contact and can even be used as an easy message tool. Either Education needs to bring a health wing in to it department or the Department of Health needs to be reopened, there are too many people with such a low level of and the government needs to help theses citizens, this mostly due to the fact of our broken economy.

This month the DoPR headed by CrowdedHouse, Kirkzzy and Aussie Bloke have been oustanding and i think it is the highlight of Wallys term and he should be proud of this. We need more of the same next month i think personally CrowdedHouse should hold the reigns again as long as he is not biased 😉 .

Other areas not covered

Foreign Affairs this month have done very well and Super Christopher should be proud of what he has done this month. Not only has he done a lot diplomatically he has also managed to start up the embassies, well at least some. More of the same this month and maybe get reports coming from our major allies or Eden and sending them to the DoPR. DoICs have been very ineffective the last months due obviously because of the PTO. We have regained our senate and the DoIC needs to work closely with the Senate to compile the best list of potential citizens, people who we know are not just going to waste there citizenship and can do something constructive for eAustralia are the ones we need most.

Also i am all for NSA starting up again, as long as it is under someone responsible and only let trusted people in then i see no problem on doing check ups on suspicious people. This could help with background checks on potential citizens

Conclusion

Communication, educating and recovery are the areas what eAustralia needs to focus on and our candidates need to address these problems if they are elected.
