What’s new in eRepublik
Dear citizens,
The New World is expanding. Researchers plan to welcome a new country every month, offering more residence choices to the citizens of eRepublik. Even more, a development program has been launched in order to create a multi-language support.
If you want to contribute we would be happy to receive your help.
If you have fought, worked or trained lately you have probably observed a new link on the page where the answers to the questions are shown. Click on it next time. You will access the “Suggest Trivia Question” module designed for citizens who want to be a part of the development program and help eRepublik progress.
You have a trivia question based on history, art, politics or geography that you'd like to recommend? Submit your suggestion and its correct answer. Remember to also give three incorrect answers - depending on these alternative, incorrect answers, the question could get more or less tricky.
The more questions that are suggested in a certain language (other than English) the faster that language will be implemented.

You're going in the wrong direction with the trivia, you should be replacing the entire trivia system instead of expanding it.
Also, since you're likely to delete comments like this anyway, GURKIMAXXX!
What about the bans and the decoder? Theres nothing in here about that. Also what is stopping people from making dumb and ignorant questions?

@Grzechooo: Citizens suggestions for trivia questions are not country related any more, that's why there isn't a field where to select the country. I'll talk with the admin and let him know about his error in the article body.
@Sossu: Fixing bugs is a permanent challenge for our team, but our desire is to bring as many user experience improvements, just like omella28 mentioned before.
@zocky: It was fun the first time, second time, third time... but lets focus on creating ... let's say a more creative discussion.
@Bertil: Removing the trivia would be the simplest way to do this and we like to think that eRepublik is a place that needs constant improvement, not features removals. Now you have the possibility to become a part of this trivia project and to write down how do you think the questions should look like
@Dobo: We are aware of this issue and our dev and community team is working to find the best solution.

When will we get to see some real features? Two months have gone since beta, the way it was being talked it seemed like when v1 was launched we would see new awesome features all the time. But alas, no new features and in fact some cool features was taken away.
Sure, add multi language support, then what? A bunch of players work to just click work? or become a congress and click yes/no on votes? or be a president with no or very very little power?

I request admin's commentary on the bugs/server failures/ddos attacks that have affected the wars in Europe lately. Many people are getting frustrated and are accusing the opposing alliance and the admins of cheating. It's so childish, but the only way to stop these rumors would be the admins acknowledging the problem and sharing some information

The fact remains that most citizens don't see this as a good feature. It changed the game a lot and it's the reason why people use decoders, it's no fun.
You state trivia as an improvement, but can't you do a poll (like the US election thing) about trivia? People have played Trivia for about 2/3 months now and should be able to give an objective opinion. I think that would be a more solid base for deciding to continue with the Trivia.
Also, I wonder, what is the use of the career path? It's flashy and web 2.0, but it doesn't really add anything to the game does it?
I like the idea of rewarding media and wiki contributors though! The game leans heavily on it's community and it's a good thing to reward the communities top contributors.
@Aryamehr: A lot of features were added and many things were changed after V1 was changed. After that, we had focused mainly on usability and user experience improvements. Also, in 'behind the scene' is the big work developed right now in order to bring special tools for moderators or game administrators. One of the Insider articles by the end of this year will be about the new stuff that will be available in eRepublik next year.
@CRO Holding: You have to explain me what keduaxxx means, cause I have no idea. And the PS in the article was referring to comments similar to pertamaxx. As I've said before, let's be more creative guys.

@Gregoir: Our team is investigating this issue. In case this was the result of a DDOS attack, the persons responsible for this will be punished. As for the part where our team is considered to give advantages to a group of citizens, just as we have said many times before, these is a complete misleading information and the eRepublik team consists with pros and incredible smart people that wouldn't even consider such a thing.
There is no problem with Slovak translation! Just please contact me...

Btw, when will you add the feature in company.. I'd like to have the old beta company page view.. Have access to how many stuff I've sold, how much money I spent and so on..

@Cristi: The population is increasing very slow, that means something is wrong. V1 is not as good as Beta... eliminating PvP was the biggest mistake...

@Astromaniac: Indeed PvP is something that we have to strongly consider to bring back to eRepublik. As for the numbers, we've focused more on improving the product and when the time is right we will bring up these numbers.
I agree what you said about 'pertamax' comment. At least if you want to post 'pertamax' you should have comment related to article not just saying 'voted' or something else. Be more creative that's what Cristi said
Btw, I wonder when new feature like what you said in the previous insider article ( I forgot when it was, I think around January and February ) about something like natural hazards, etc. will be implemented and don't forget about more new countries you've been promising us.

Jazar: Sorry, I've missed it. We need an optimization for the article comments, I'll work on this kind of improvement. Anyway... for the trivia, we do think that improving the system is the right step to be done now. It is obvious that if a module is not as good as we want it to be, most likely the community of eRepublik will be against it. That's why let's give trivia a change and as anyone could already see, we did improve it a lot since we've launched V1. Btw, what kind of challenges do you have in mind that might replace the trivia? I think everybody can agree that just clicking on work and train as it was in Beta is not the right solution.
Also, I wonder, what is the use of the career path? As I can see you are now level 17, which means that you are one of the top experienced players. Career path is a strong tool that new citizens in eRepublik can use in order to see what is actually happening in the New World. The game experience for new citizens is one of the main things we focus now. I think all of you want more citizens in your country, in order to help you in wars and we're working on keeping these new citizens in the New World.

Mi hermano y yo hemos sido baneados por usar la misma IP. Nosotros hemos sido acusados de multiaccounts cuando somos 2 personas reales, solo porque usamos el Internet familiar.
Admins, no eliminen estos comentarios. Los demás usuarios deben saber la verdad de vuestros indiscriminados baneos. My brother and I have been banned for using the same IP. We have been accused of multiaccounts when we are 2 real people, just because we use the Internet family.
Admins, not remove these comments. Other users must know the truth of your indiscriminate ban.
Good work on trying to improve the trivia aspect of the game (which i do like, even if others don't), though are there any plans to bring things in such as law and order into the game? Or maybe even the ability to ban people from coming to countries, kick people out of the country, take over businesses - nataionalisation etc. (basically more ability for governments to control security in their countries..)
Also any news on what the next new countries are gonna be?

Please don't do it! I'm blind and I like erepublik very much! But I can't play flash games! If you replace the trivia by flash games I will not be able to continue playing erepublik! At first, I didn't like the idea of answering a trivia quiz for training, fighting and working. But, as you don't wanna remove the trivia, as you will just remove trivia for replace it with something worst, I think that the trivia is very good! Please think about it!
@Grupo Parsa: If you want to contest an admin decision or if you want moderators to look over your case again, please send a message via the contact form and someone will have a look. Just one thought, the "brother/family from the same IP" is the most used excuse in online gaming websites for multi-accounts. Not saying this isn't the case here, but wanted to give you a heads-up. @Antonio Fonti: I think the first step in order to introduce a juridical system is having nationalities in eRepublik. But, we haven't yet put all of these stuff on paper. I do agree with you that is something that needs to be live soon. The announcement for the next country to be added, will be made by the end of this year. The name of the country starts with C.... (teaser)

Because
1 - it is stupid
2 - people use decoders
3 - with no trivia, producitivy, damage in war and etc would be based on XP or Skill in that area
So please take out the trivia

The new results page from working, and training is neat. But I love it after fighting. It is nice to see where my damage comes from.
@Cristi: That did it, the problem is that admins take far too long to respond and resolve problems. If I did not make public not solve my problem. I been waiting 2 months to an admin fix a bug in my company in Brazil in which a bug made me lose my money and GOLD to invest or collect money. I lost over 200 BRL and 9 GOLD that was not returned by Erepublik to me, contact with the admins only serves to receive the automatic response of a computer without reasoning.
I'm angry because the admins not contacted me before and ask explanations of why various accounts from a single direction. Under the rules of Erepublik there is nothing that prohibits that 2 real people can connect from the same computer, so my brother and I decided to play without infringing the rules. I have met many multiaccounts in Erepublik and will only be activated in elections, but had no personality and do not write in journals and reviews. My brother had a newspaper in which he wrote and participated in reviews, and I am a congressman and businessman active in Spain. What makes us think that multiaccounts? single IP address, the only reason why we baned.

Javiboss was banned (supposedly) by using exploits, and now the admins accuse him of multiaccounts. In this way the value bans Erepublik.
Annihilator was banned by creating the trivial decoder. According Erepublik is more effective banish the trivial decoder's autor that fix the bug and translate the trivial.
Don Carlo and his brother have been banned because he and his brother connect from home with the same IP address. For Erepublik we are multiaccounts.

Instead of banning people for creating and using the trivia decoder, why not just FIX it? You should be THANKING Annihilator for FINDING the glitch and showing it to the world, not BANNING him for it!

When he talks about revolutions, he means revolutions against the government (like, say, party A loses elections to party B, so they launch a revolution to try to gain power).
@grupo prasa: if don carlo has not broken any rules than you should not associate his name with those who have clearly done that (creating an exploit and using multi accounts).

I was hoping to see the citizenship implemented and better ways to avoid political takeovers and methods to get rid of multis and other scams.

I lost my previous post..., but it could be resumed in 3 things:
- I'm very happy for the 'spoiler' you gave,
- I support the trivia, but I think it should be improved... and also the code of it should be more difficult to be used on a decoder, at least just to make it unusable,
- I offer my help on translating to spanish, and with raws and regions on that 'spoiled' country (start with C and have 5 letters),

As much as I appreciate all the work that's been put into Erepublik I am very disappointed at what's been achieved in the last month.
This.. "strong tool", as you refer to it as, I can't see how that is going to help anyone, personally. It's a very simplistic approach, to say that someone will go to work, then just like that become a GM once they reach level 9. I'm really hoping there's been a lot more work going on behind the scenes/under the bonnet.

admin you could replace the trivia in army training and war module for a simple fash game of "target pratice" if you get what i mean, it is more entertaining and it is realated to the army
as for the work, you could replace it for a smilar game
I think that is the best option to replace the trivia, it's obvious that the majority of the comunity don't like the trivia doesn't matter how much you improve it, this was not suposed to be a "trivial pursuit" game
