What is going on in... Venezuela

Day 2,821, 14:02 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Max Blue

I've had a chat with Zackaryas the Venezuelan CP and Dictator. I've also spoken to Venezuelan Minister of Foreign Affairs Kevin Alvarez Diaz, and I asked some questions regarding Venezuela. Here is a short report on what is going on in Venezuela.

Peru occupies Venezuelan regions

Peru invaded Venezuela and still holds Venezuelan regions. Venezuela has an economic agreement with Peru where regions are 'leased' to them. Everyday Venezuela gains some money from Peru for the region they hold. Arguably this is the best situation for Venezuela, as Peru are larger and have stronger allies (Peru is in Orion and Orion is supported by Asteria.) However there is still an active war between the two nations. The rent money is in exchange for not opening RW's against Peru.

Why does Venezuela occupy Cuban regions?

Zackaryas: 'Our Cuban friends have given us a region and we have agreed not to take any other regions of their country. We have had a small TW in which we had fun, however the only reason it was not closed sooner was because of bugRepublik.'

Are you (Zackaryas) pushing Venezuela towards Orion?

Zackaryas: 'With respect to Orion that is confidential. * HITS THE TABLE *'

Military plans

Zackaryas: 'We will continue our campaign in Asia, there we are proving that we have awakened from our slumber. Our allies will remain, the UK is proof of this. If there are going to be surprises, they will come in the form of old friendships restored. However this area is also confidential.'

(The UK has just re-signed an MPP with Venezuela as Zackaryas says.)

Overall what does the future of Venezuela look like?

Zackaryas: 'Venezuela is coming out of a period of politic problems and very strong internal social pressure. We are on the border of a better political life and we are the new generation which will bring change to Venezuela and put it back on the map.'
