What is going on in... The UK - The London RW

Day 2,821, 04:12 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Max Blue

I've been talking with the UK CP Aaron Mark Daniels and other cabinet members. Here is some information behind why the UK is fighting all out in London today (Day 2,821).

Argentina occupies UK regions

Argentina has been occupying UK regions since Argentina attacked the UK during the anniversary of the Falkands war. (The Falkands War being the real life war where Argentina attacked the Falkland Islands; which are a British Overseas Territory, because 'Argentina wants them' and they are 'near Argentina' - this does not make something yours.) In-game Argentina has all UK regions except the 'East Midlands' and the 'North West of England' which the UK has gained back.

Why has the UK launched a RW in London?

A deal the previous CP made with the Argentinians to; 'not officially start RW's' ended on the 5th of August. No new deal has been made and the UK population are becoming more keen to remove Argentina.

Argentina is divided by wars in other countries they occupy. This makes it hard to focus damage on specific battles, and generally: vastly increases the chances all the occupied nations have - to gain regions back.

Negotiations with Argentina

The UK has had issues talking to Argentina. A big problem: The Argentinians have not been keen to talk. Furthermore, the UK is not keen to sign a deal with Argentina that doesn't benefit the UK and allies such as Ireland (who are also occupied by Argentina).

Overall

As I write this article the battle is only just beginning, but the rounds (mini-battles) are close. Here is the battle. CO has been used on both sides and battles have already gone 'epic'. It is likely UK and Argentinian fighters will fight for a long time, possibly until the end of the battle.
