What is a True eSouth African?
Merle Corey
Been a LONG time since I wrote anything...because I had nothing much to say.
But this is bothering me...so let me ramble on. (besides, it's MY paper)
There has been an ongoing flame war in the eSA news for several months now, and it is getting worse.
The debate centers on the definition of a "true eSouth African".
The long-time eSAffers consider themselves the "true" eSouth Africans, regardless of RL country of origin. These "true eSouth Africans" regard the current active politicians from eHungary as usurpers. The current political group from eHungary, and other places derides the long time citizens who come from other RL places.
I'm tired of the name calling.
Here's the difference as I see it: The long-time eSouth Africans want to continue to work within the political structures and organizations set up by the eSouth African Government, and abide by mutually agreed upon rules and regulations regarding it's institutions; mainly these are the Reserve Bank of South Africa, the eSouth African Armed Forces, and the eSAHC. (Yes, I know there are others, but hear me out). The Presidents and elected congress worked to fund these organizations to a greater of lesser degree, depending on budget and personal priorities.
When the current group of eHungarian immigrants came to power (not this topic!) they did not work within that structure. Did not even attempt to do so. And have not, to my knowledge even attempted to contact the rightful owners of those institutions. Instead, the eHungarians set up shadow organizations like the "Bank of South Africa" and funneled all the cash from the country accounts to this organization. They continue to do so to this day.
Why? Gold. Plain and simple. I'm sure that Stadler City and his friends will deny it, and I'm not accusing them of anything. I'm simply stating that since they were elected, not a SINGLE SOLITARY ZAR has been provided to any of the long-time eSouth African social organizations. Every donation proposal to the RBSA has been denied. Every one to "Bank of South Africa" has been approved.
So, eHungarian South Africans, where is all the gold?
A "true" eSouth African would answer the question; without malice, without name calling, without trolling. As a citizen of eSouth Africa, I want to know.
Comments
Theres no point in the debate. eSAers will always argue they are true eSouth Africans and the PTOers will always argue we are not. Just read the comments that are sure to follow to see what I mean.
I agree, not accusing anyone, that one of the bigger problems does seem to be the funding and movement of gold and funds.
Surely this is a matter easily adressed, it must be possible to document and explain the movement of funds, while being transparent will go a far way in adressing the concerns of eSouth Africans !
tl;dr
I agree with Seisan though.
@Rexdeus
How can funding be a problem, when your bank has 3k gold and 150k zar on its account?
So, eHungarian South Africans, where is all the gold?

@ Griffmadar, to be honest i have no idea of the financial situation of any bank. But if it is the countries National Bank and National organisations, then surely there should be accountability. Regardless of true state of funding.
Even if it is only to proove that funds is not being miss-directed, and if this would alay fears of fraud, then i say why not, surely a small thing to do. If one kick against something like this would it not give credence to those that say it is happening?
not mark morcom
I would also ask about monies once channeled to the eSouth African Army. I believe they've suffered a loss of funds as well, which weakens the country's infrastructure.
The fact that we have so much saved up is due to the hard work of our very skilled Minister of Finance and others. But all Merle Corey has asked you to do is provide a trail to where the money has been sent. As long as it hasn't been going to any Hungarian organizations or Hungarian citizens you should be fine......
For me it means that the rebels are channeling money out of this country, and definitely not helping eSA citizens, nor any military organisations that fight for this country. May I ask why?
lol
Seriously, I like turtles.
(Hint: Look at donations in both orgs 😉

@stadler city: that is a non-answer. Yes the RBSA has gold and zar left over from pre-pto days. What about the gold and ZAR that has gone into "Bank of South Africa"
Voted.
