What is a Prime Minister Campaign And How Can I Get Involved?
Timeoin
Well, since you asked, I'll tell you.
You can read the following, and see what I have planned for January!
Foreign Affairs:
My aim this month will be to continue to support our allies if and when they ask for it. One priority I have is that I would like to continue Australias involvement as an active member of Sol. Currently, there are a few promising developments likely to be happening with this alliance in the near future, and I believe that Australia should be involved with making these come to fruition.
I would also aim for a peaceful resolution of any conflicts. Ever since I first began playing the game (and after realising what wargames were and how I could get involved), I realised that Australia only regained its country through diplomatic negotiations (i.e. the AIRRA).
In particular, I would be actively seeking to end the war with Brazil. The reason for this is that Australia is in a good position currently, and I do not wish to risk our country needlessly. Currently, the only way we would have access to Brazil would be through a region-swapping deal with South Africa. If we were to do this, and attacked Brazils home regions, then we would activate all of Brazil's MPPs, and then they would be in a position to threaten Australia again.
With regards to Alliances, I believe that a decision to this should be undertaken. I also believe that this decision, which affects all of Australia, and will do so for a long time, is much too important to be undertaken by just one person. To this end, I propose to hold a referendum on the subject during my term. In that manner, it will be up to the people of Australia to decide which direction we will undertake with regards to Alliances, however I would request that at the very least, we stay with the Sol alliance. (And just to clear things up, I am referring to a vote on whether Australia should officially join EDEN).
Defence:
This month, I will be looking into the overal structure of the Defence Department. This will be the main priority of the defence department during this month: making improvements to the defence department to ensure that our defence is running optimally. Unless forced to do otherwise due to an invasion of Australia or its allies, I will be keeping weapons distribution to the levels that our currently outlined by the Australian government legislation (the Military Structure and Logistics Act).
This will not be the only aim of the defence department this month, though. The other main aim of the Defence Department will be to actively seek to start rebuilding our national weapons stockpiles. The reason for this is that due to the recent war with Brazil, we have almost no weapons. For that reason, unless the current war with Indonesia and Malaysia continues for most of the next month, or some other major conflict involving our allies breaks out, I will be seeking to build our national stockpiles up as much as i possibly can.
Information:
This month I will be seeking to get accurate, unbiased Information out to the people. It is my belief that this department was designed to deliver reports on both levels of Australian government: the Senate AND the Cabinet. It is a department that i have had personal experience in, and i believe that in order for this so succeed, the Minister of Information be given a free hand to report on the government's activities. I am a strong believer in Open Government, and so will be giving them the opportunity to report any breaches of government policy. I will therefore be appointing someone who I know will report this, and has done so in the past.
Cultural Services:
There will be two main aims for Cultural Services this month. The first of these will be the messaging of new players, in order to welcome them to Australia, make them feel welcome, to let them know what services are available to them, and to aim to keep them playing the game. The second goal of Cultural Services this month is to bring back the "Cultural" element of this department. To this end, the Minister of Cultural services will be seeting the groundwork for official, government-run eAustralian sports, amongst other things.
Finance and Industry:
There will be no major, significant changes to Finance and Industry in the next month. The Minister of Finance will be in charge of keeping the Monetary Market wall secure, and transferring money to the departments as per their budget, as well as any other tasks that need to be undertaken with regards to this department. The Minister of Industry will be in charge of running the Government-Funded Companies (GFCs), and do their best to increase Australia's GDP.
Immigration, Customs and Security:
No significant changes are expected. They will be responsible for ensuring that Australia is as protected from Political Take Overs (PTOs) as it is as possible to be.
In the next few days, I will be releasing my Cabinet Line-up.
If you like these plans for the next month, then please vote for Timeoin on January 5th.

Damn you Garven
Lol Dean.
Best of luck Timeo, you got some great plans there and would make a fine CP.
Very nice article Timeoin. You may have my vote,
Best of luck to you Timeoin. You have served your country well to date and I look forward to seeing what the new year shall bring. 😃
Umm... not gonna try get some more people to immigrate to Australia or get the Minister of Industry to work with GMs to fix this worker shortage and Wage War?
Other wise, solid policy for next term. Good Luck
Sounds good to me. But I do agree with Tecchi in that we need more people to immigrate to our fine shores. I have 4 companies and know that we have a shortage of workers! Wages are high and profits are low.
Good luck Timeoin.
Best of Luck Timeoin.
We definitely need to get our weapons stockpiles back to the levels before the brazilian attacks.
Read, understood and voted.
A couple of things you might want to think about or that I would like to see confirmed.
1) A viewpoint on the current import tax debate on the forums.
2) Confirm that in the finance area we will move back to having a published budget?
3) Plans for the national goals - really just looking for confirmation you will stick with holding current territoriesw or an explanation if you propose something different.
4) A viewpoint on relations with Indo given the NAP, company buyback and the events of the Brazilian war.
Do you have a plan to do anything about Brazil?
Good luck Timeoin! I love your platform - it's what eAustralia really needs at this time in my opinion.
Read the Foreign Affairs section Kirkzzy 😃
So the king of spam and lulz wants to be PM, god help us.
I agree with many of your comments and wish you good luck however can I just say:

Didn't you hear Infin, Tim is sortof ANP, according to my sources...
Thanks for the platform update, Timeoin! I'm sure this will help voters decide on the 5th.
Just a quick question - you did mention "keeping the Monetary Market wall secure". The Aussie Dollar was worth substantially more pre-invasion. I'm assuming you plan to try and recover its value and/or keep it stable at a better rate?
end the war with Brazil \o/
Even if we attacked and took every Brazilian occupied region in SA we wouldn't be able to attack their home regions. We might even be able to attack Indonesias SA colonies. Brazils MPPs wont be activated unless we attack South America. That would be complete stupidity. Why end a war when we have the upperhand and it involves no risk to ourselves
@ Cerb - will be trying to recover its value.
@ Tim Holtz - Because we dont have any weapons, and those regions are not OUR regions. We will only be going in there IF South Africa asks us to do so.
Agreed with Tim, lets take Brazil to their last stand in our ally's home territory.
@Timeoin
Who suggested we go there uninvited? And who said that we would be keeping the regions permanently? Prehaps Gauteng until the Brazilians leave and possibly a few other territories (remember eSA is affected by PTO threats).
My point is why one earth would you close the war?
We have MPPs with some very strong Countries with alot of weapons 😉 Signing a Peace Treaty will nullify the MPPs.
@Timeoin - why would they ask us to if we haven't offered? That's just rude.
Also, you say you want to end all wars, yet you're happy to join EDEN if the vote says so - what if EDEN requests we keep the Brazil war open? (And so they bloody should.)
@ Tim - I am just stating that i dont be attacking any South African regions unless they genuinely want us too, and I have been talking with South African leaders, and they currently have some reservations about us going in.
@ Bass I never said i wanted to end all wars, I just believe that diplomacy should be given a genuine chance to work, first.
Like Diplomacy totally works Yo, Remember When we totally Got WA back through hard diplomatic talks.....yo
and look what happened when we got WA from eIndo tim. Everyone has been up each others necks since and half the eCountry is divided over it, it was the worst mistake we ever made.
""Why end a war when we have the upperhand and it involves no risk to ourselves""
Ye we've totally got the upperhand... Some days I wish we never signed the treaty with eIndo, now we have a few citizens thinking their top dog and invincible.
Look at every eCountry that goes on the offensive. They eventually get beaten back into a weakened state. do yous want us to be invaded again till yous realise that?
"Look at every eCountry that goes on the offensive. They eventually get beaten back into a weakened state. do yous want us to be invaded again till yous realise that?"
likr USA?

WA a bad decision? Hell no. We have had increased population increase every day as a result. Admittedly we have become divided but not due to getting WA back but not having any goals apart from getting all of Australia back. Thats all we have been thinking about since we got NSW back
"Ye we've totally got the upperhand... Some days I wish we never signed the treaty with eIndo, now we have a few citizens thinking their top dog and invincible."
Invincible No. Imune from Indonesia attacking us due to a contract Yes. The Indonesians have always valued their honour and if they do break the contract its always in a very subtle way. A full blown Invasion of Australia isnt particularly subtle. Brazil cant attack us again due to our MPPs (if they do then they will be beaten back thanks to our EDEN allies). Our only other Border? eSouth Africa. A Sol ally which we are good friends with dispite a rocky relationship.
"Look at every eCountry that goes on the offensive. They eventually get beaten back into a weakened state. do yous want us to be invaded again till yous realise that?"
good job Contradicting yourself. If we don't invade then Brazil and Indonesia keep the regions and they arent beaten. If we do invade then we will somehow be beaten back even though we will be giving the regions back? Who exactly will be beating us back (refer to previous wall)
how was that a contradiction? I think youve just stuffed up jeff.
WA was the reason we had the whole 2 faction bickering going on. 1 Faction wanted to go about it peacefully, the other wanted to go more agressive. Since then theyve had grudges against each other which they carried out onto the parties and other issues.
we have always had people who were pro-agressive and those who were neutral. Remember AW
ok ill explain your contradiction again.
If we attack and defeat all the Phoenix forces in South Africa then they will have no way to get us out of there. therefore we cant be Invaded (unless Indonesia breaks the contract or Brazil attacks with all of Phoenixes tanks in which case we will have EDEN tanking for us)
If we don't attack then Brazil and Indonesia keep their South African territories and the whole everyone that invades gets defeated theory is proven incorrect
also note when i said there is no way to get us out of eSA i mean that if eSA wants their territories back we will of course give them back 😉
I was going to troll here, but I've been beaten to it. :/

thanks Agent Kaos 😛
Sounds like a plan to me, got my vote!
Constant lulz proposals ftw? I don't think so.
Your own MoMI won't troll you? I'm shocked! lol
Good luck mate.
Good luck mate.
"also note when i said there is no way to get us out of eSA i mean that if eSA wants their territories back we will of course give them back 😉"
you really think he would do that? i mean, he IS part of the Peoples "😉EMOCRACY" party, and i think they would try to end the war instead of trying to help eSA, as said in his third paragrath:
"In particular, I would be actively seeking to end the war with Brazil. The reason for this is that Australia is in a good position currently, and I do not wish to risk our country needlessly. Currently, the only way we would have access to Brazil would be through a region-swapping deal with South Africa. @ Irwin - huh?
Dude - ive been at RL work all afternoon 😕
Good stuff Tim.. We need more people who take office a tad more seriously and think about the policies. Please take into consideration what the other eAussies have suggested and you'll surely get more votes.
It'll be good if you can tell us the "How" element when you say you want to enact this and that policy.. 🙂
"2) Confirm that in the finance area we will move back to having a published budget?"
Wozzak, the budget was never published in the past and was only presented to the Senate via the forums. After it is approved it still remains within Senate and the only way to view it is to access the thread.
