What if ... Romania and Croatia... ?
ATENTION: This is my personal opinion and does not represent an official point of view of the Romanian presidency, Congres or officials.

What if ... Romania and Croatia, two nations bonded together through blood and the virtues of trust, honour and loyalty, one of the closest macro-relationships within eRepublik and an example of how close two nations can care for each other.
EDEN, an alliance created specially for Europe, an alliance based on mutual friendship and respect, an alliance... Wait! ... What the hell am i saying?
"EDEN ? Hello EDEN ?" That's the situation the Romanian president faced when we were attacked both times in Sofia, and when our homeland regions were invaded and eventually taken away from us. The same question was asked when we wanted to join the Asian war trying to go through Turkey. A question which remained without an answer by the "alliance" of which both Romania and Croatia are a part of.
Romania and Croatia, wake up, we are taken as for granted and that isn't a good thing, who were the pillars that supported the once almost extinct America, the once fractured Canada, and shall we not forget our old Spanish friends who act as great conquerers ? The only country who gave it's own territories away by being careless with it's treasury.
Guess good deeds do go unrewarded, let's point out some facts:
1) Poland got to slash Germany off from the map in order to attract their baby boom and at the same time boost their economy providing motivation for any polish player, but now ... they consider themselves too proud or too strong to bother helping Romania, not to mention rewarding Croatia, for supporting the polish military campaign with Weapons and massive amount of troops. Poland can make their babies proud but not it's allies, in the end Poland has hidden itself from it's allies behind a lie : they did not help Romania when Transylvania was attacked because they were too busy seeking their own interest. Now the same thing happened, except their shameless excuse was not enough to convince the romanian people, Romania lost Sofia because on two separate occasions , no ally besides Croatia, sent any serious troops to help defend Sofia.
2) USA, Poland and Spain, now you guys are too proud to be Americans, Polish or Spaniards? 3 great empires, with the exception of Poland who were once on the edge of extinction. You chose to neglect Romania for so much time now... from the moment we demanded troops to pass through Turkey to the moment Hungary invaded us, to the event which lead to Sofia being lost. You people are so selfish, what have you achieved so far was with the help of Romanian and Croatian blood, without it you would have failed. You, who should be grateful to Romania and Croatia for delivering you from destruction, you who instead of aiding the Croatian and Romanians in their hour of need or in their own achievements or national goals, you chose to do the opposite.
3) USA, Poland and Spain, all 3 of them empires, all 3 without any intention to stop expanding, all 3 without any intention to help the ones who helped them achieve their own goals, all 3 who choose to ignore the power houses of central Europe and keep them under their shoes. Once you 3 got what you needed you screwed us over. Even Croatia was hoping to get one High Wood region from the French territories for it's effort, but they were denied by the greed of Poland. The 3 Great Empires of Eden forgot that Eden as an alliance isn't formed only by 3 countries who take all the spoils of war while the others just obey, not demanding anything. Well EDEN, rest assured that this is now over, Croatia and Romania have had enough of it!
Dear Romanians and my beloved Croats, we have been taken for granted by this fake alliance for far too long, this was the last straw, we should rethink our strategy and our priorities. I offer you some "What if-s", these "What if-s" can become reality and should be considered carefully by every nation in eRepublik, yes even Hungary should read them:
What if: Romanid and Croatia were to stop being active allies of EDEN and stop wasting precious Gold on worthless MPPs? and instead sign Non-Agression-Pacts with Phoenix members?
What if: Hungary leading Phoenix would resume their old agenda and decide to erase US, Spain and Poland from the map, EDEN is worthless without Romania and Croatia and it would fall quickly.
What if: Romania and Croatia were finally recognised for their value and included in the spoils of war? What if they were to get a few high regions as well? Romania and Croatia would appreciate the gesture and would continue to assist EDEN to the fullest.
What if: Romania, Croatia, Serbia, Hungary, Russia and a few other states would form a new exclusive European alliance? Would this alliance work? Are the Hungarian players content with the idea of creating something new in eRepublik? Would this strong alliance manage to teach the ones who forget the past a lesson?
What if: Romania and Croatia would've known that US, Spain and Poland would not share the spoils of war or aid them in their own goals or defence when they needed it? Would Romania and Croatia still aid USA Spain Canada and Poland to restore their territories and to assist their greedy expansion?
Dear players, these are strong what ifs and are considered by every Romanian and Croat at this time. Romania and Croatia have had enough of your ignorance and demand change, this change will be determined by the decisions of the 3 great empires who are a part of EDEN. Does EDEN still need Romania and Croatia? Or does Phoenix want us more?

It would be the greatest challenge I can imagine. It would be a worthy goal,for many of us, to put aside differences, and show the world and to ourselves that we can think outside the box.
I would like to see if it works. Hell, I would love to see if it works!

I disagree with this kind of reaction towards our allies. Yes there might been some miscomunication between eden members but that doesn't mean we have to whine and bitch our allies.We can make this work.

I know this is just a thought but wow, its just stupid. I you remain inactive first of all, your citizens will get bored and quit. Secondly, it not really smart idea pissing off Poland, a country that now makes up the bulk of Eden, and isn't really "tight" with you guys in RL. Also, you wouldn't have even conquered Bulgaria without us, and good luck against Hungary without Eden tanks to bail you out. You guys were right to feel disenfranchised about the recent battles and lack of support, but its just getting out of hand now, Eden has done a lot for you guys, and you don't give them enough credit.
It's a bit hard to imagine russians, serbs and hungarians to ever wish to have or do anything with roamanians.
Sorry, but even the Slavonic Union idea is far more realistic.
What about "Romania + France + Italy" for example. Or romanians friends/brothers etc. can be only the strongest of the day?

Sofia? What does Sofia mean? Plovdiv, now there's a battle of importance. Just fought in it myself. And reducing Indo to home regions? Surely that's a fight to warm the Dacian heart?

We in Poland always helped our allies. Find out the Slavonia battles statistics. Yes, we were conquering Germany when you was fighting for Transylvania but why? Once we activated it's MPPs Germany had to be wiped out, just like Bulgaria and Slovenia.

I agree that other EDEN allies have to help Romania more, and you are right on that, but I don't agree with you about leaving EDEN for this.

About the high wood, y unfortunately we didn't have enough gold to go to nearest high wood region Rhone Alps, we all know that Poland will use that region better than cro (because of their new babies)
I strongly support this idea,and belive many my comrades do also,there is only one BIG PROBLEM you see SERBIA and Croatia cannot be allies,that is inpossible,but if Croatia excuse themselfs towards Serbian people,give us revanue for their actions towords us and sign some contract in which they will obligate themselfs never to atack,TO any Serbian region,there might be some hope,I doubt it but it is worth to try...
@Ben Gates yeah. It's a bit sad to see such discussions just a week after the romanian president officially suggested Bulgaria to betray its allies because they had "left us alone" and become vassals or be destroyed. A fair suggestion he said "more than the eRomanians wished to offer".
Back then he was annoyed why we refused to even discuss betrayel of our allies and nobody even wished to consider it. As long as I know till now no one made a similar generous offer to eRomania, but even trough I red the article above.

I think that there can be no peace with PHOENIX. EDEN is on the way to become the most powerful alliance in the history of the New World and we should all take place in that achievement.
Doturluigi : eRomania did ask for help in EDEN, but unfortunately the help never came except from eCroatia and a little bit of eSpain. EDEN had better things to do once again without even letting us know that we should not spend on our weapons because they will not come.
I disagree with these discussions, blaming our allies will bring more harm then help but we cannot continue being good allies and receive nothing in exchange but promisses either.

If you remember, some time ago there was exactly same type of situation between Spain and Poland, because of Peru episode. Poland was very angry because of Spain helping Argentina, and look what a great job they did in Western Front. A lesson for all of us;)

I have the utmost respect for Romania, and I'd like to be in the same alliance with you guys, but I don't think that majority of players would like the idea of Romania and Hungary, or Serbia and Croatia being allies... On the other side, Poles also think of Croats as their most loyal allies.

The answer is not leaving EDEN, joining Phoenix or creating any kind of other alliances... what we have to do is put our foot down inside EDEN and stop this kind of thing for ever happening again.
There are other ways of protesting inside the alliance, a bit less extreme. Maybe suddenly our mobile forces would significantly drop in numbers / damage. Or maybe they wont go at all if we have other priorities that are not taken into consideration by the EDEN leadership.

@cokiii: we were fighting in Slovenia. As we have Ukrainean/Spanish etc citizenship it is hard to see whether Romanians are fighting or not. But we were there.

I agree that most of our allies never helped us (or their help was too little in comparison with what we offered), I am disappointed too, but I do not agree the way of dealing with this issue. I would not like to be named the second eUK or worse (eUK never negotiated their position in Atlantis).
What I suggest is that our politics towards aliases should be based more on pragmatism; in addition, our deployments shall be decided case by case, analysing what is our gain, and how much the requester helped us before.
We can be less involved for a wile but we should never change sides.

every alliance has ups and downs. every one in a while we can hear dissonant tones about the unity and particular personal goals of each of the members. what has to be done is to discuss the issues inside the alliance, and try to find a better solutions, better ways of achieving common goals.
thank you for celebrateing our assistance, but you know how they say it: "a friend in need is a friend in deed". I can't remember all the times we as the army went to help our allies, but I can remember all the times our allies came to help us save our butts. Who could forget what for example eFinland did for us, sacrified a region with q5 hospital just to lower waste of damage. These are the moments that make this game great, these are moments that make this alliance still great, and we should persue the goal of solving all of the problems we have, to continue with our common goal, defeat of Phoenix.

Guys, we lost Sofia, but we KILLED eIndonesia.
We lose some Slovenian and Bulgarian territories, but at the same time we move into position to clean out Turkey and UK.

I've write small art, to answer You. But I will public only short version:
1. What, if You (Crazy Man) have VERY short memory.
2. What, if You (Crazy Man) have first ask Polish citizens for help. (I don't recall any art, about Romanians needs)
When You're fighting in Sophia, Polish military groups were in south Africa, to stop Indonesia (and PHONOX). Most of the Polish citizens don't even know about Your battles. Whenever someone need our help, we've doing everything what we can. Even, when we have full of hand with Germany. Ask citizens of Croatia, Spain, Slovakia, Greece, USA, Canada, even Austria... and Romanians too. Crazy Man, You have short memory.
Don't forget, that Turkey front is dead, because of Greece and EDEN fair play. Because of problems with France, Germany and Indonesia EDEN can't to attack Junior. Now You're taking most of PHONIX dmg. Ask EDEN HQ, about this situation.

Do you really think that EDEN hasn't helped you? We have helped you very much, but there are priorities. We won't fight for your Transylvania if we can take 2 countries out at the same time. Back then eFinland was reduced to 2 regions when Croatia was under attack. We did not asked for help, as we were able to understand that EDEN has priorities. Without those priorities NO ALLIANCE would not work. Rationality rocks.
And there is something wrong if EDEN does not answer to your pleas of help. Still I think that there has been misunderstandings.
I guess EDEN is starting to feel a little to sure on it's victories.
Maybe we should balance the game a little : give up Bulgaria , free de Serbian & Hungarian damage and start a little training war with Moldova for a while...
Of course we will help our allies when they are attacked in original regions.

In my opinion, there's no need for this article. Croatia is loyal to every country in EDEN, we mostly always do most damage in all battles where is needed mobile army.
Croatia lost 5 of 7 Slovenian regions when whole PEACE attacked us, we didn't get any help, but there's no need to balme EDEN. Those regions are just conquerd for fun, we can live without them, we can live without Sofia too, Sofia doesn't have any resources.
Also, we must admit that Serbia is stronger than Romania without tanking, Serbia also has more active players who are getting stronger every day than. Sofia would be conquerd sooner or later, and allies surely can't be every day in Romania to fight in Sofia, that's a fact.
I disapprove of this message.
For EDEN! Let's talk about what went wrong, let's find that common point that brought us together in the first place.
