Join the new world

Today is congress elections. These are parliamentary elections and they happen on the 25th of every month. This article is all about what I want to see congress representatives doing and I will be supporting the campaign of anyone that encompases enough of these key views.


Openness and transparency

As a congress representative your job is to represent the people - all of the people, and not just the ones that voted for you. Your job is to work hard and do the best for the all of the people in the country.

Letting people know what you are pushing for/trying to stop is important. Otherwise as a congressperson you are just going along being just a grey suit that doesn't prove their working for the public interest. People will assume you are just in if for yourself unless you prove the actions you are taking.

Communicate with those in your party via the party section of your 'feeds' on the 'homepage'. Also communicate with your friends what you are doing and discuss points with your friends on your general 'feeds'. On issues that you think people should really hear about/get involved with write an article and publicise it as widely as you can.


Maintain/increase the schemes available to players

Schemes that are tailored well help those most in need and are great value for money especially in the long term. It is important to support the newest players with things like free health and there are some great schemes ongoing in the UK such as:

- 400 Free health per day (for those under 30 days old).
- £3000 Establishment grant (for those under 90 days old).
- x4 Q6 weapons (for all).

These should be looked at and worked on for ways to improve them/along with possibly creating more schemes. It should always be remembered that the UK pays for these schemes in tax revenues. So although it is important to have schemes to help those most in need, we mustn't go over the top as we will pay for any mistakes in our taxes.


Reform

Things always become outdated/no longer relevant, and it is important for congress members to go about updating policies and reviewing them such as: new player advice policy, tax policies/schemes to help players, military plans/allies/enemies, to some extent how government departments work and more.

It is important for our representatives to look at things even those that do not appear to have obvious flaws, as efficiency savings or improvements could be found. This is not so much about bashing ideas and things that we have had, but updating the framework of our country to try and make sure the United Kingdom is in the best possible position it can be globally.


Greatest good for the greatest number of people

I have touched on this before but I think this is important and a good view to bring this article to a conclusion. Congress members represent the whole of the UK population. Not just those from your region, or those from your party, or those on the external forum, or those in your friends list. As a representative you must think of everyone, be it the two clicker, those that have just started and can't even upload an avatar, the basic player, the experienced and the highly active player.

Ideas and plans that bring everyone together are always great and ideas and such to create 'babybooms' are also always popular. But the real mission is to keep everyone that is already here - playing. However itis important that this is done in a way that will not disadvantage others born in the UK. Politics is not easy, but like everything else in this game communication, informing others and getting them involved is key.

I will be supporting all candidates for congress that I believe genuinely hold these beliefs and I urge you to do the same.

Before you vote today check out what the congress hopefuls in your region have to say. If you don't have a manifesto - don't vote for them, they haven't put any effort it. Likewise if someone has been lazy with their manifesto - don't vote for them. As a voter you need an example they will work well and represent the things you believe in. If they don't show this don't vote for them.

Even if you are not keen on any option, make sure you vote for the best even if it is the best of a bad bunch. And do vote. A vote not used is a vote wasted. If there are two options, both bad, but one has an idea you think has a small chance of being positive and you don't vote for that person you throw away a positive because of the overwhelming negatives.


My plans for a better future

I have been given a political party by a friend. Initially I did not know what to do with it, but now I would like to collect people like myself in it. Those that maybe haven't been in a political party in a long time, or those that don't feel their party has enough direction or doesn't represent what they want.
