What Has Scrabman Done for Me lately?
Moishe
It does not really matter what President Scrabman has done for the economy, or what he has done to foster inter-party relations, or what he has done to bring War Games (Ooooh-rah!) to the eUSA, or what he has done to bring us closer to our allies.
All that matters is "what has Scrabman done for me lately?"
To be honest the President has less control over the economy than one might think. He only controls less than 2% of the vote when it comes to passing taxes. His influence on Congress is practically non-existant. In fact, as elections near that influence lowers as others try to ride his coat tail into the eWhite House.
Things are going good, right? Companies are making money. Wellness is up due to the Resistance Wars (War Games!)
But what has Scrabman done for me lately?
The Scrab-dude has been more than willing to work with each and every party as he strives for National Unity. Sure, he has advisors with whom he has worked since his birth as an eCitizen. But what President does not? But unlike many he has not been exclusionary when it comes to appointments.
Do you want to know what the deal is with Portugal? Fine! We'll appoint you as special minister to the "What is the deal with Portugal Department".
Do you want to know what is going on with the new cookie recipe introduced by Kosher Foods? Just ask scrabman! He'll make you Director of Cookie Recipes!
But what has Scrabman done for me lately?
Now I am going to step out on a limb here and tell y'all I have been trying to get scrabman to take on some "special projects". By "special projects" I mean things that are near and dear to mine old heart. He has agreed and approved but, you know what? He wants me to do the work?
WHAT???
That is absurd! I want these Special Projects handled and I want HIM to do it! No. That's a lie. I want to do them. And he wants me to do so. But why?
It is because of that age old conservative philosophy of self-motivation and personal responsibility.
What has Scrabman done for me lately?
Perhaps a better question would be "What have I done for me lately?" Because President Scrabman has made it possible for me to succeed.
When his term began my rank was Corporal. Due to war games and participation in supporting our allies I have reached the rank of Colonel! All in less than a month! Whoa! That is solid and rocks on, dudes!!
I've been able to raise a Q3 food company to Q4 and to put a former Q2 food company I had moth-balled back on line as a Q3 company. All in less than a month!
I done that! Not scrabman. But..... who made it possible? A President that works with those who are in the know.
Scrabman does not claim to have all the answers. What he claims is to know the people that have the answers. In my opinion that is a ton better.
He does not claim to know the best answers to the economy. But he has contacts that do and he listens to them. What other President ever listened to anybody. (I am sure Justin will say he did but Justin has done everything.)
Scrabman does not claim to have all the answers to the military. But he listens to the experts. (What experts? Let's see..... USMC General Eugene Harlot, NG General Istarlan, SecDef Leroy Combs - regretfully there are no Army names in there but that is their choice. President Scrabman has reached out to them.)
But what has Scrabman done for me lately?
He has made me damn proud to be a eUSA Citizen!

Wow.
Moishe, this is one of the reasons I love you. Your passion! Voted. Already subscribed.
Can you tell me about the kosher cookie recipe?
Do not use treif milk products or oils from animals. Plus.....oy! My rab says "No!"
great article!
He's been doing all he can do. Like you said, he only has 2% control of things.
For that 2% I say he's been doing well
@Jonathan: In case you missed the innuendo I am a scrabman supporter (being his Vice-President). The article was rhetorical. Your "jerk" comments demonstrated a certain lack of understanding.....
Awesome article 🙂 Voted .
Sorry Jonathan McCravy, but did you read the article? Also, by the way, did you know Moishe is his VP?
It actually praises scrabman for all he has done, and I'd have to agree with Moishe.
Well-written article Moishe. 🙂
I wasn't doing it to harass you or anything, but rather to inform you. Sorry if it offended you in any way. 😕
I like it.
If I wasn't so drunk I'd add a comment but I am so I ain't. Thanks Porosus!
You dudes ROCK!!!!
Ooooh-rah!!!
(A RL former Marine and a eRep Marine!)
Maybe if scrabman didn't act like a prick on the forum, I'd appreciate him a bit. I can tell that he's trying to improve, so I'll give him that, but he has a serious ego problem.
Also I want to find out why he's such a major douche. Can he make a program for that so I can find out why?
If i read the article right he's basically saying Scrabman hasnt done anything. 😛 And in all fairness he really doesnt have any power.Though more middle ground political tactics seem to be working fairly well.
Scrabman understand the best thing a president can do I direct most task to specialized underlings, and then if a certain area becomes of particular interest he can step in and help.
Im looking forward to hear about where and the conditions of the new set of war games 🙂 All praise Scrabman
Thanks, Emerick! I was wondering when you would insert your ubiquitous remarks.
Let me note one thing: scrabman is a RL lawyer. Does that indicate? 😃
Maybe if this was not coming from the VP it would be worth voting
Hey guys! Awww ... thanks mushy Moishe! Really, I look at the President as being the Nation's Chief Diplomat; the National Leader; and the end of the line for Military decisions as Commander in Chief. The first of those deals with shaking hands and kissing babies (something I've done a lot of with all of the PMs that I get) and the second two involve a lot of organizational skills.
President and General Dwight D. Eisenhower held one of the highest ranks in the history of the RL military as Supreme Allied Commander during WWII and was one of the few 5 Star Generals this nation has ever seen. His greatest skill wasn't battlefield maneuvers ... it was organization of other units and keeping the plans organized and he carried that into a term as a great President.
I'm no IKE ... but I appreciate what made IKE great. What made IKE great was the team that he assembled and how he deployed them. I'm fortunate to have a great team to work with me and they get the job done while I work on organizing, shaking hands, talking to the Military and Congress, and kissing babies (I just need to be careful not to mix those things up!)
Voted for the article and will vote for Scrabman.
Very well written! Enjoyed reading it.
Good article and voted. Knowing how to find the right people for the right job is what leadership is all about.
Those who have no skill, desire or will do delegate duties and jobs to the right citizens are destined to fail in a role of leadership.
Keep up the good work and well done VP and cabinet selections.
Fantastic article!! Vote Scrab/Moishe for May '09!
>____>
I just came for the pictures as I don't know how to read. Moishe, when are't you drunk? LoL. You should come to NY and drink with me. I bet I could drink you under the table!
Scrab/Moishe:
Because America must rock!
Dammit I hate voting on articles from "the other side"
But well said Moishe and Scrabman has done well I will admit.
This from a gun-toting ultra-conservative right-wing wacko in therapy at the moment.
great article moishe
I like a person who speaks their honest opinion and isn't afriad to whether people like it or not.
Voted and subscribed!
Scrabman / Moishe May 09!
I much prefer General MacArthur as the leader of the Japanese occupation over any RL President. Ike seemed too bland to me I guess.
@ Moishe: I understand that you are using the classification of lawyers being dicks...but my sister is a lawyer (Works for Rudy Giuliani, as a matter of fact) and she's an extremely nice person. I'm not arguing with you - I just don't think him being a lawyer is a good defense 😛.
But I do agree with you in your article. Your article was well thought out, and proves a lot of good points. I am with you on this - He is an excellent President. I appreciate everything he has done for our country so far, and I await the future accomplishments he helps bring to the table.
I have a feeling Scrab will be getting VERY comfortable in the President's Chair - He may be there for a while.
Scrabman has done an outstanding job as President and I fully support him and am asking all my friends to vote for him!
Our soldiers are better than they have ever been. The economy is good, Citizens are thriving! Scrabman is by far the best president I have seen since I began playing this game.
Thanks again guys. I'm planning on one more term using the George Washington standard. I'm not going to have the energy for more than that but I still have things I'm trying to accomplish and one term just isn't enough to do it all (even though I did get that half term due to the impeachment).
That's totally agreed here to. I'm not feeling the effects of what you said about the Q3-Q4 company or anything like that. I can tell you one thing though the eUSA is running alot smoother and there's not as much worrying going on in the country as a whole.
South Africa fights for its freedom!

Awesome job in the eUSA White House! Keep up the good work, and I'll be voting again for you!
hell yeah he has my vote
Scrabman has done a lot for me lately. I came down here to play some war games, which could actualy have taken a while to set up. I'm very impressed with his work.
Adults rule! Great article Moishe, and it echos my feelings on the matter.
>Your article was well thought out
What.
Bravo long live scrabman
Its nice to see someone else realizing that the president does very little to influence the economy. Its kinda stupid how people all want to know what the president wants to do with the economy when ultimately its up to congress.
Very good article, made me think about being a citizen of eUSA more... I enjoyed reading this, very nice!
Yeah, I thought it was well thought out too.
Srsly, Scrab has done a great job. Go Scrab/Moishe!
Scrabman has done nothing for me. I asked him for help when I signed up for this game and I was shunned. I joined the forums and was racially oppressed then banned with no help from anyone.
Obviously if you don't fit into a certain clique here, you have no chance for advancement.
But I do not worry, change is coming to erepublik.
Nice writing, so deep.
Thanks for sharing this!
Totally voted!
Nothin. Straight up, He answered my PM day one though to give me a link to a meal on wheels farce...Hey that was a cruel trick saying sorry, "Spring break" no food for you.
BTW what the hell is the president doing answering every PM that goes his way...? does this expose him to foreign influence?!? Has he got better things to do for me?
This would reak less of propaganda if an independant journalist wrote the article. but the VP, come on.
now how about some wars to keep us eUSA citizens entertained?
Companies making money, hahah, good one...
Set the taxes down, and perhaps we will
ego yes, but he does deliver
