What happened to this game?

It seems like it has been years since this game has received some sort of game-changing additions. I came back to the game after a couple of months away from the game to find almost nothing new. A few changes to small, unimportant things but nothing huge. I left the game because my life got busy and this game became dull. This game is struggling to grab my attention from other things in life. When I first joined erepublik back in 2011, it was fun, really really fun. I couldn't wait to login every day and play the game. Each year that went by, changes came and made the game more exciting. Around 2015, changes were much less common. (Yes, houses were reintroduced and a few other new things, but nothing super awesome.) The game became a lot more boring to me. The game started to feel more like a chore rather than a fun game to me. It hurts me to see the state of the game right now. The player-base is definitely smaller than it used to be at one time. The lack of bold new changes have caused me to leave the game, and most likely, a large amount of players too.

I think the game needs some new changes, something to get people involved and excited, not the same stuff that they do every week and holiday. What do you guys think? Am I crazy, or is the game getting bland/boring to you too?
