Well Hey There

Day 1,089, 14:36 Published in Cyprus Pakistan by Katharos45

Hello Cyprus. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Katharos45, a former eGreek, and hopefully, future eCypriot. However, before I formally introduce myself, I must share a little story. In July, 2009, I made a dedication to the addition of Cyprus to the massive collection of nations in erepublik. Unfortunately, the admins were busy doing other things, and the idea soon faded away. I often joked in eGreece during the summer of 2009 how Cyprus would not be released before February 2011, and that if anyone challenged my prediction, we would make a bet on it. One person, at least from what I remember, made the bet with me. We agreed, and then it disappeared, swamped by the many different things happening in Erepublik. A huge amount of different things happened, including a baby boom in eGreece, which unfortunately, caused me to leave, due to the language barrier.

I travelled around to world to all sorts of places, like Austria, Switzerland, Malaysia, North Korea, and the Netherlands. However, none gave me the same enjoyment I had in eGreece, so I left every single one. After losing interest in the game, I left, and popped back in several times, and left once again, due to the decaying state of the game. I finally came back for good this October, but I noticed something. The majority of the world had left the game. This horrified me, but this was soon superseded by the fact that I found out Cyprus was in the game. I was quite surprised at this, not to mention angry, due to the fact I had to give away 5 gold. However, my friend was long dead, unfortunately, and I used the gold to my own purposes.

I have just moved into Cyprus, and I have joined one of the food companies. I hope to make the best out of my high working skill, and make food to help balance the Cypriot economy. For now, I am eagerly awaiting my citizenship. If the congress does not want to approve my citizenship or is out of approvals, that is completely fine, and I understand the uneasiness. I have heard about the recent debacle with the Turkish which was luckily avoided due to admin action and the swift actions of the Greek and Cypriot government.

I hope to make the most of my stay in Cyprus. It’ll probably be my last place of residence in erepublik, I plan to stay here as long as time allows it. I have no alliance preferences, mainly because the actions of the last few months are completely unknown to me. However, I am trying to relearn everything quickly, and hopefully I should become active in the community soon.

Hello Cyprus, and I hope that you can accept my citizenship request and accept me into the community, so that I can assist with bettering this crown jewel of the Mediterranean.
