Welcome everyone!

Day 542, 01:59 Published in USA USA by Welcoming Committee

Hello, I'm ligtreb, the new chairman of the Welcoming Committee. I wanted to welcome all of you to eRepublik, especially the newer people.

This game is tough on newbs. But stick around, this game gets much better as it goes on. Please subscribe to this newspaper, as I plan to use it to give tips and build a community here.

I outlined my plans for the Welcoming Committee in my personal newspaper, but in my first article here, I want to keep it relatively simple.

Resources and links

Go to the eUSA forums. This is where people who play this game hang out, where important discussions about this country take place and where a big part of the social interaction in this game happens. If you ever have a question, it can be answered quickly there, people are mostly helpful.

HeadmistressTalia is the Secretary of the Department of Education. Read and subscribe to their newspaper, Education Today.

Cerb is the head of the Department of Citizen Affairs. Feel free to bug him about anything and read his article about the department.

Every American should subscribe to the White House Press Secretary's newspaper for important updates about the country.

Why it's important to make people feel welcome

Because getting more people active in this game not only makes the game more fun, it makes this country stronger. Just look at the most recent battle against Russia -- despite the country's amazing efforts, we lost. While the eUSA is one of the top countries in eRepublik, we're not the strongest. The more active people we have, the closer we get to that goal of being the best.

Active people help us in wars.
Active people help our economy.
Active people help our government.
Acitve people help our society.

And people are more likely to stick around if they feel welcome.

To the newer people reading this: Welcome!
To everyone else: Help make the new people feel welcome!

Again, I encourage people to subscribe to this newspaper, my goal is to have new articles at least weekly.

Thank you for reading,

-- ligtreb
