WINNERS

1 (B1) United Kingdom

Well their friend Poland sure made a difference, no? With Polish support, the British successfully liberated the whole of their nation from Argentinian-Irish occupation, leaving only a couple of regions under Polish control to be regained later. Despite a lackluster defense from their occupiers in the face of the invasion, it's still mighty impressive at the rate in which the nation was freed from enemy control. Now, Argentina is out of the picture, and the Brits can exact their revenge on the Irish. Will that satisfy thee, oh Brits? Either way, the danger has mostly subsided.

Week rating: 9.6/10

2 (B2) Spain

The Spanish Empire is back! After a long struggle, including an airstrike on Argentinian homelands that saw Argentina occupied but not for long and for naught, the Spanish have gone back to what they do best: holding their empire. They have since retaken Portugal, namely the Azores, and linked up their homeland to their Canadian colonies. They have also secured the latter, conquering the rest of Canada, which had seized the opportunity and grown to retake a few regions. Barring Guyana, Spain has fully rebuilt its empire, and reaped all the benefits as well. Spain now has its sizable empire back.

Week rating: 9.4/10

3 (NR) Pakistan

NaN is making irrelevant countries relevant again. Example A? Pakistan! The Pakistanis have finally escaped the circle of unimportance they'd fallen into, reduced into merely a buffer state between China and FYROM. All of sudden, they have a membership in a fledgeling alliance that will protect their interests, a friendship with powerful and longtime enemy China, and a successful airstrike under their belt to keep their babyboom happy. Out of all the small nations that have suddenly risen to the public spotlight, Pakistan is certainly the most notable. An airstrike by Belarus on their Indian colonies is worrisome, but if Pakistan holds them off, their return to eRep is noticed.

Week rating: 8.9/10

4 (NR) Norway

Norway, the little brother of Asgard. Though the Norwegians have always struggled, being a very weak nation ever since its population squandered after the early days (like, WAY back), it's always managed to piece something together. Loaning many regions to Russia has actually paid off, as though it limits the amount of regions it could own, it also gave Norway a very safe Congress protected by Russian walls. Furthermore, the Norwegians made a successful RW push, liberating its two regions occupied by Germark, though a current war threatens their gains. For the underdog, Norway has made the most out of their situation.

Week rating: 8.6/10

5 (H2) Colombia

Speaking of underdogs, introducing Colombia! Surrounded by enemies, Colombia has been in an eternal struggle for what seems like ages. However, both Portugal and China have made an attempt to attack their occupier Mexico, and while the attacks failed, it seems it was just what Colombia needed. Colombia has begun to recapture its regions from Mexico, and with Mexico being distracted by Portugal's wonderful cockroach impression, the Colombians are fighting their way back on the map, province by province. It may get more difficult for Colombia if and when Mexico turns their attention back to them. But with their attention elsewhere and the threat of another Chinese invasion into Mexico, Colombia may stay on the map just out of fear of the Chinese.

Week rating: 8.1/10

Honorable Mentions: Greece, Turkey

LOSERS

Just barely good enough: Mexico, Romania

B5 (1) Argentina

The Argies sure enjoyed their visit to the British Isles, but unfortunately, no vacation lasts forever. The Argies were given a swift kick in the pants by Poland and shown the way out (not the front door, but the porthole), and when they returned home, they found their home infested with rats enemies. Argentina is once again back in South America, and once again will have to fight its way back on the map. With Chile and Brazil, this will be no easy task. Argentina will certainly put up a solid fight to liberate its nation. But its quick surrender in Britain and poor position at home are difficult to support.

Week rating: 3.7/10

B4 (H1) Ireland

And who loses because of the British liberation? Not just Argentina, but their Irish cohorts as well! Had the Argentinians held onto their lands in Britain, Ireland could have easily held onto their two conquered territories with ease. However, t'was not to be, as the Brits and Poles liberated the nation. And while Argentina gets to move back home, the Irish are stuck with an angry British nation quite vindictive. The Irish have done well to hold off the Brits to an extent, but without the focused support they received weeks earlier during their invasion of their longtime foe, it will be difficult to avoid a wipe.

Week rating: 3.3/10

B3 (2) Canada

Yet another benefactor that gained bonuses because of the Argie invasion on UK, the Canadians realized the flip side of their string of victories. With renewed interest in the region, the Canadians were quickly dispatched by the Spanish, who connected their homeland up to their colonies again to seize the bonuses. Canadians had managed to regain almost half of their territory, as well as support RWs to cut off all Spanish bonuses, but at the end of the day, it's back to square one for the Canadians. Once again, an uphill battle for America's hat. It will take a lot to get the Spanish off their backs.

Week rating: 3.1/10

B2 (NR) Indonesia

See, the training war was a bad idea, no? Amidst the training war with America, Indonesia's impressive holdings have been under attack. First, they have lost Eastern Cape, their foothold into South Africa and middle finger to Brazil. Though its purpose was diminished as the gold mine winds down, it still is a devastating blow at the hands of Brazil and NaN. Speaking of NaN, Australia was able to wrestle Southern Australia out of Indo hands, loosening their grip on the island nation. Most embarrassingly of all, Indo lost to rebels...in Philippines. Yeah. No offense to the Philippines, but come on! Yes, Indonesia is quickly moving to clean up the mess, but it's a shameful one.

Week rating: 2.8/10

B1 (NR) Portugal

At least those other nations have friends to back them up. Portugal's failed attack on Mexico was certainly unfortunate enough, especially seeing how poor the turnout was. But the ensuing invasion of Portuguese homelands, not only by Mexico but by Spain as well, is devastating. Portugal's diplomatic relations have spiraled out of hand ever since, so there's really nowhere the Portuguese can go for help. Previous governments essentially signed the Portuguese on to be a Spanish puppet, which the people despise. So there's nothing Portugal can really do. At least they can join longtime friend Canada once more.

Week rating: 1.9/10
