Day 1,656, 13:13 Published in Canada Canada by Shoi12

Welcome to another edition of the eRepublik Power Rankings! Here are the rules; the efforts of the top five countries this week will be recognized, and the five worst performances will be mocked, no exceptions! Countries are recognized for many things, including successful defending, securing strong alliances, and, of course, conquering rivals. Without further ado, let's begin!

WINNERS

1 (5) China

While losing its South American lands was a shame, it gets major props for wiping half of Spain on its own. It's very amazing to have a Chinese Madrid, and I sincerely hope that that's there to stay. In addition, it managed to quickly gain a border with Serbia, leading up to what should be a very tight battle. The main event is just beginning, people!

Week Rating: 9.1/10

2 (H1) Portugal

Crushing enemies is nice, but defeating a long time rival makes it so much sweeter. As China took the southern part of Spain, Portugal followed by taking the north. Portugal has managed to put down fierce resistance in Galicia especially, and furious struggles in many other regions. It doesn't get a border with Serbia like China, but soundly defeating Spain is itself a remarkable achievement.

Week Rating: 9.0/10

3 (NR) Finland

The Finns?! Yes, the Finns! Quietly, Finland has been putting up solid battles one after the other, and finally succeeded in wiping rival Estonia during the tail end of the week, and crushed strong opposition. Now attacking Latvia, Finland seems in position to conquer all of ABC if the situation is right. Certainly with Russia in the area, nothing is impossible.

Week Rating: 8.7/10

4 (NR) Venezuela

Assuredly, China doesn't care about South America, but to storm back to respectability so quickly is commendable. Venezuela has captured all but one its provinces in its sizable country. It's very possible that they'll soon move to take its part of Columbia. Things are looking up for Venezuela.

Week Rating: 7.8/10

5 (B1) Bulgaria

When there's nowhere to go but up, you usually go up. Bulgaria was soundly wiped by Turkey during the middle of the week, but bounced back in a hurry. With the help of big brother Serbia, it quickly gained the advantage, capturing back all of its homelands and taking Marmara with no trouble. Could Bulgaria restore its claims to their height, wiping Turkey? Only time will tell.

Week Rating: 7.6/10

Honorable Mentions: Croatia and Germany

LOSERS

Just barely good enough: Italy and Romania

B5 (1) Turkey

Not much to do when Serbia attacks you, but still, Turkey's hard-earned gains made last week were destroyed in mere hours. Turkey is still in a decent position to recapture its lands, but its devastating defeats cannot be ignored.

Week Rating: 4.1/10

B4 (NR) Columbia

It sure sucks to be Columbia. In the aftermath of a political scandal, Columbia has been overrun by Indonesians and very likely Venezuelans in the near future. Losing all footholds in Mexico, Columbia looks very weak. It managed to push Indonesia back to a degree, but it seems to be destined to be wiped.

Week Rating: 3.5/10

B3 (NR) Hungary

Give Hungary credit for taking some of its homeland back, but with Romania declaring war, don't expect them to hold onto those lands. Of course, even before returning to Eastern Europe, Hungary was absolutely decimated by the joint effort of the United States, France, and interestingly enough, Germany. Unlike their homelands, there's no chance that Hungary can reclaim France anytime soon. Hungary could grow back, but so far those chances seem minute at best.

Week Rating: 2.8/10

B2 (NR) Estonia

Just like my toilet seat, Estonia was soundly wiped this week (^.^). Losing is never fun, but getting defeated by your greatest rival is a crushing blow. They have had no luck RWing any lands back, and their defeat also brings misfortune for their allies; Latvia may be next, all because Estonia couldn't survive. Causing the deaths of two countries is not advised.

Week Rating: 0.7/10

B1 (L2) Spain

What's worse than being a small country and getting wiped? Being a big country and being wiped! It's pathetic for such a proud country to be down to one province, and considering their significant size mere weeks ago, this seems to be the end of a tragedy. (For them, not us) Furthermore, they allowed Serbia to be attacked on another front. All of EDEN thanks you, Spain.

Week Rating: 0.2/10
