Join the new world

Hello all,

Congress elections have finished, and now it is time to prepare for the next election: Country President. I am pleased to announce that I plan to run for the April 2024 term - woo!

Who am I? I first joined eRepublik in 2009 and was instantly engrossed in the game. I jumped straight into the eUK community, and within 2 months I was elected to Congress. Since then, I have been in Congress the majority of my active months, and have served in multiple roles including Minister of Home Affairs, and Secretary of Defence in the USA. After taking a 9 year hiatus, I rejoined mid-2023 and am happy to be back.

Now - the serious stuff.



What we'll do

As the title says - we want more! The focus of my Government will be to adapt current schemes and rewards so that they fairly support every player of the eUnited Kingdom, not just the top 2%. By doing this we will be providing more players with more money, as well as freeing up more money for other schemes.

Another major concept my Government will work from is that of Open Government. We will be providing more information to everyone with weekly reports of what the Government is doing, as well as hosting weekly PMQs where anyone can send me the questions they have about what the Government is up to at that time.

At the same time we will be providing more events and exercises for the eUK people to take part in, from more TARE's to more quizzes and competitions. Not everyone wants to play the game the same way, so we will be making sure that the Government is supporting more than one playing style.







The Cabinet



I am pleased to announce that the offers I sent out were accepted, still leaving some positions open for applications. I am being very particular about my cabinet, as I am a strong believer that a leader is only as strong as the team around them.

Vice Country President
Leading the cabinet and assisting me will be Citoyen Vigneron. A relatively new face in both eRepublik and the eUK, CV has recently served as Speaker of the House of Commons and is currently our Minister of Foreign Affairs, a challenge he confronted with the type of passion and energy I want in my Cabinet.

Minister of Finance
Having served as CP multiple times, as well as many Ministerial positions, I believe that Mr Woldy is the right person to help us bring the eUK’s finances back under control.

Minister of Defence
This guys military experience traces its roots back to the OG Royal Navy, and he has only gotten better since - Betafoxtrot!

Minister of Foreign Affairs
Who knows? This position is open for applications - if you want to help the eUK maintain its diplomatic relations, send me a PM and we can have a chat about it!

Minister of Home Affairs
As above - nobody yet! If you are interested in managing the UBI scheme, as well as entertaining our players with competitions, then send me a PM.



There we go! There is a lot more for me to say and I will be doing so over the next week in my manifesto. You can look forward to ideas both new and old ideas that will rebalance our countries spending and fairly reward all citizens of the eUnited Kingdom.
