We Want More - Defence & Foreign Affairs

Day 5,979, 10:50 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Darkmantle

Hello again,

The final part of my manifesto will present some more policies regarding the military aspect of the game, both old and new.

TARE

The TARE initiative that the current Government started is a good one in principle - it allows us to prepare in case of an emergency and monitor the UK’s preparedness. That means when a real emergency happens, we know where to direct our resources.

My Government will be continuing these exercises, but more often and in a simpler way. We will be holding exercises once or twice a week in which any MU will be able to join. At some point during that week, the MU’s will be notified of an objective to complete - when you are notified and how long you have to prepare will change each time.

If your MU completes the objective, each participating member will have 2k added to their weekly reward cap. There may also be more rewards for the MU’s who’s participation and influence on the battle is beyond what is expected.

Low-Level Battles

Players who are new to Division 4 will alway struggle to make BH’s without spending close to more than the reward they would get for doing so. This is because of the current bounty limits, however we don’t want to change these for everyone. This is also the same for SH’s with new players of any level.

My Government will be introducing LLB’s (Low Level Battles) - a lose battle where the medal limit is halved for D4 and Air rounds. We will be encouraging higher level people to not participate by suspending rewards for this battle for anyone over Level 100, to allow newer players to get a chance at these medals. Bounties will continue to apply at the lower cap to begin with, but will be reviewed later on.

MoD Communication

To enable faster communication, my Government would like to invite all MU leaders to join a message thread with the Minister of Defence. This will allow orders to be passed quickly, and for MU’s to be quickly contacted should an emergency occur. A separate thread will be made for the MU’s who agree to join the TARE’s, which means all MU’s will be aware of each others orders, fostering some friendly competition.

At the same time we will commit to openly sharing all data regarding rewards and bounties in the form of a publicly accessible sheet. You will be able to see daily breakdown of what is being spent on each rewards and bounty scheme, numbers that will be reported weekly as part of the Government Summary.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The eUK’s current diplomatic situation is strong for where we want to be at the moment. We are at peace with no major threats, and potential alliances are in the works thanks to the hard work of Citoyen Vigneron and our Brazilian friends. Our training war stack is doing well, although this situation could change at any time and is something that we will be on top of.

The FA team will work closely with our TW partners and friends to maintain the positive relations that we have at the moment. At the same time, they will be keeping up to date with the current situations in foreign nations, so that we can be aware of global shifts and prepare accordingly.

The current discussion around an alliance with Brazil will be honoured and supported fully by my Government, with Citoyen having my full support to continue these talks alongside the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Summary

I have shared everything that I would like to do this month, hopefully with your support. My Government would bring more rewards to more people, splitting the country's income equitably. We will be more open and ensure that those who elect us are kept updated with current Government affairs. We will also bring more for the eUK citizens to do with more TARE’s and events to keep people as busy as they want to be.

Don’t forget to vote on the 5th.

Best,
DM
