We Stand on Guard for Thee

Day 625, 12:13 Published in Canada Canada by Sam Rotterson

My fellow Canadians,

I feared that today I would wake up and for the first time ever find myself living under the rule a foreign nation. I am a Canadian through and through, and shudder at the idea of a French flag flying from our Parliament's Peace Tower. But for now the Battle of Ontario rages on.

My plea is this: stand and fight, my brothers. May we live up to the words of our anthem that we have sung so proudly as the ruthless PEACE invaders have marched against us. Do not let them destroy our capital. Stay strong and united, and we can still come out of this war in one piece.

How is it that a great union of nations that calls itself "PEACE" has brought such war and turmoil to our continent? How can they so identify themselves and yet wreak such havoc? We must take a stand against such hypocrisy. We must not capitulate.

Fight on, my Canada!
