We fouled up... BIG TIME !!

Day 893, 09:03 Published in Pakistan USA by MaveriQ

Dear all

I've been out of touch for a while and when I browsed through past few days, I noticed that quite a lot happened. Events that were VERY serious and shouldn't have happened. Events that I had forewarned about, but in my naivety I had assumed I just had a smelly nose.

It turns out again that I didn't have a smelly nose, after all !

Without any further ado, let me refer back to a quote from my last article. To put it in proper context, it refers to the last party elections where I had pointed out two suspected 'multis' running for party elections and one of them got banned, thanks to our active leadership, but the other did not.

"Here is another related observation. Only one of the two blood-brothers got 'da kick'. One wonders if one was smelly, the other would be too! After all they had been together all along 🙂

One plausible reason could be that the focus of this election was to get Mr Hammas the party leadership and probably the other party didn't get into the limelight. The people at helm of affairs know it better than me that even one PTO'r can create havoc!

I'd leave it to that..."

It turns out that the other 'blood brother' did get to the top of JI and did create a havoc during, and after, the congress elections! A glaring example of this fiasco were the 12 law proposals since the congress elections, more than the number of proposed law changes in last two congress tenures!!

One of them was the ultimate possible PTO action.. the impeachment of our beloved president himself!

Other than proposing outrageous law proposals, there are other things which a PTO-congressman can do. I can't list them all, since I haven't been a congressman myself, but one possible action is to give citizenship of country to another PTO'r. Now, this act alone can be very dangerous as it allows more PTO'rs to gain citizenship of ePakistan and cast more votes for the potential PTO'rs!

This, ladies and gentleman, can start a chain reaction. Presently we have a good strength of pro-Pakistanis (mm, I love the pun!) in the congress and they have shown a reasonable unity among themselves, which is why none of the PTO-sponsored law proposals went through. But, if the PTO'rs in congress can keep on granting citizenships to more of their 'brothers', this can get out of hand.

Who is to be blamed

I wouldn't start a blame game, because that is not the purpose of my articles. But I do partly blame myself. In the article I quoted above, I ended up by saying "I'd leave it to that.."

It turns out that I shouldn't have left it like that.

I should have pressed it through and pressed the button to report a possible multi. I thought pointing it out in an article would get the people in the government thinking and take the action, but at the same time, I failed to do what I could do myself.

I apologize for that. (and I promise I will not distrust my nose again 😛)

I do feel, however, that my fellow countrymen, those who are far more experienced and learned in the mechanics of the game (I am still only a month old toddler) have more responsibility to protect our motherland. I have no doubt in my mind (and this is no appeasement statement) that they are doing a great job, but foul-ups like these, can undo the tireless efforts of our ancestors.

What to do?

What is done is done. But it behooves upon us, as a Nation, to learn from this mistake and never let PTO'rs or anyone play a trick like this again.

The responsibility lies squarely on the shoulders of citizen of pakistan and all the major parties.

As citizens, we should know that our every vote counts. With the small population we have, every single vote can make or break a congressman. So we should be very careful in casting our votes. Eight out of 21 congressmen got elected on just 3 votes or less! I hope it is enough to make you realize what power your vote carries.

So I cannot stress enough that DONOT take elections lightly and don't ignore them. Use your right to vote. Use it wisely and with responsibility.

For the parties and here I address the two major parties PPp and VA, that they should publicly publish the list of potential PTO'rs and while doing so, it would be in good faith not to mention the members of the other party. (I am not too sure thought, that what I have asked here is even possible in politics 😛)

Do so for the sake of country!

But whatever parties decide to do (or not do) the primary addressee of this article are none other but the citizens of pakistan. It is up to them to select their leaders and (like in RL pakistan), you reap what you sow.

While reviewing the article, I noticed it is far too long than I intended. But then, the gravity of matter is such that I felt it my responsibility to bring it up.

I would end in one last observation, which disturbed me the most, and i kept it to the last intentionally, hoping that it disturbs every other patriotic pakistani.

'Mr Banana II', the person who proposed the president impeachment, and which is why I believe him to be a PTO'r, got second highest total of votes in whole of elections!

Tough times are upon us fellows!!... WAKE UP!
