We are a band of brothers

The 4th of June seemed a great day for eIsrael. A mighty alliance of brothers from Israel and Greece, along with friends and mercenaries from over the world, created a great coordinated resistance, that resulted in a mighty win over Cyprus in Beer-Sheva. That win allowed us to elect our government the very next day, and raise our heads with pride.

Sadly, the momentum we had from that glorious day was not used wisely. Instead of working together to reap the fruits of that win, we divided and got involved in petty squabbles amongst ourselves, and with some not careful words we have jeopardized our relations with our Greek brothers in the Hoplites. A misunderstanding in a deal with INCI also led us to a fall-out with the other Greek MU's – The Myrmidons, Infantry and the Minoan Legion.

Let's put the facts straight. Israel couldn't afford another fight like Beer-Sheva, so we had to leverage our achievement by striking a deal on our terms. There was a mistake in our approach. We should have consulted with our Greek brothers, those that assisted us in creating that leverage, and for that we apologize. We were between presidential terms, and we had a misunderstanding. This happens in the best of families and between the closest of allies. We must not let an event like this, cast a shadow on a friendship that was always so strong. We ask you to re-consider your decision to sever ties with us. This is not a time to be lone wolves, each going their own way, gaining nothing. This is a time to be a pack – fighting together and ultimately winning, because this friendship is true friendship, one born from mutual struggle and not interests of personal gain.

A personal yet official apology goes out to Rhodesknight and The Hoplites. There were comments spoken in the Israeli forum about the Hoplites by a member of our current cabinet.

Those comments were uncalled for, implying something we truly and wholeheartedly don't believe in.
The Hoplites came to aid us, as they have done before. They are the grandest of our allies. In Beer-Sheva they were among our saviors. They aided us there, not for personal gain, but in the name of true comradry. That is the official view of this cabinet and the only truth in our eyes.

We apologize for this claims and for what they implied. I ask you to react in a manner taken from a great song - “You insult me in my home, you're forgiven this time”.

Hoplites, Myrmidons, Infantry and The Minoan Legion – we reach out to you in friendship and brotherhood. You are our band of brothers. Stand with us and we will stand with you, as always.

ה-4 ביוני נדמה היה כיום גדול למדינת ישראל. אחווה אדירה של אחים לנשק מישראל ומיוון, יחד עם חברים וגם שכירי חרב מרחבי העולם, יצרו מרד בשיתוף פעולה מרשים, שהוביל לנצחון גדול על קפריסין בבאר-שבע. הנצחון הזה איפשר לנו לבחור את הנשיא והממשלה שלנו יום אחרי, ולהרים את ראשינו בגאווה.

לצערנו, המומנטום החיובי מהיום הגדול הזה לא נוצל בחוכמה. במקום לפעול יחדיו כדי לקצור את פירות הנצחון הזה, התפצלנו והתחלנו במריבות טפשיות בינינו, ובכמה מילים שלא במקום, סיכנו את היחסים שלנו עם אחינו היוונים מההופליטס. אי הבנה בהסכם עם אינקי הובילה גם למריבה עם היחידות הצבאיות היווניות האחרות -

המירמידונים, חיל הרגלים, והליגיון המינואני.

בואו נעמיד את הדברים על דיוקם. ישראל לא יכלה להרשות לעצמה עוד קרב כמו זה שהתרחש בבאר שבע, ולכן היינו צריכים למנף את מה שהושג בו כדי להשיג עסקה בתנאים שלנו. טעינו כאשר ביצענו את העסקה ללא תיאום עם אחינו היוונים, אלו שעזרו לנו ליצור את היתרון הזה, ועל כך אנו מתנצלים. היינו בתקופה שבין נשיאים, והייתה לנו אי-הבנה. זה קורה במשפחות הכי טובות ובין הקרובים שבבני הברית. עלינו לא להרשות לאירוע שכזה להטיל צל על ידידות כל כך חזקה ואמיצה. אנו מבקשים מכם לא לנתק את הקשרים איתנו. זה לא הזמן להיות כאדם לאדם זאב, כל אחד פונה לדרכו, ולא משיג דבר. זה הזמן להיות להק, להילחם יחד ולנצח יחד בסופו של דבר, כי החברות הזו היא חברות אמת, שנולדה ממאבק משותף ולא מתוך אינטרסים של רווח.

ההופליטס באו לעזרתנו, כמו שעשו פעמים בעבר. הם הגדולים שבבני הברית שלנו. בבאר שבע הם היו בין המצילים שלנו. הם עזרו לנו שם, לא למטרות רווח, אלא בשם האחווה והחברות. זוהי עמדתה הרשמית של הממשלה הזו והאמת היחידה בעינינו.
