War of the Dragons III

Day 2,773, 09:54 Published in Japan Serbia by Stargazer89

Do you know the stories of great deeds? Those deeds that seem almost unreal. Stories in which good and evil collide, change lives of main characters and make them a better persons. Stories in which you sacrifice so much, just so you gain much more. Of course you do,each and everyone of us heard them. Or read them. Some of us,maybe, didn't believe in those stories. Perhaps, they seemed like bedtime stories that should brighten children's dreams. Others, however, believed in every single word. They imagined that they are heroes of those stories. But,all who heard them are lucky. All who remembered just a part of those stories, are lucky. Because, they could learn a lot about courage,love,honor... But,the most important thing of all is that they have learned to fantasize. Imagination is the greatest gift. To close eyes for a moment, and to be somewhere else, someone else... It's what shapes us,and as long as we fantasize,we will be children forever. And who would not want that?

1389. A.D. Kosovo

Turkish archers started a battle,on their left flank. In their first assault,Ottoman troops managed to push Serbian infantry. But,signal was given and infantry pulled back to their left and right, and iron wall of Serbian cavalry appeared before Turkish archers. Jug Bogdan, one of the greatest Serbian warriors,as well as DRAGONS - Obilic Milos,Kosancic Ivan and Toplica Milan - gave the orders to their men and the terrible slaughter begun. Shocked,Turkish archers dropped their bows, turned their backs and, like a frightened herd, started to run. So many of them died in that charge. Others who managed to escape, were trampled by their own rushing cavalry. Dreadful Pashas from Asia, trying to reach Serbian cavalry, chased their horses over their own troops. In the fierce rush of both sides, horses collided like a waves. Waves of Christian and Islamic ocean. Now the real battle begun. Bodies of men and horses were falling next to each other, mixed with broken shields, spears, swords and helmets... Dragons were leading Serbian breakthrough. They were spitting fire right on their enemies. Obilic,Kosancic and Toplica were cutting Turkish troops like grass. Jug Bogdan and his nine sons, with their men, rammed into enemies with such brute force, that it seemed as if lightning struck them. Serbian cavalry was unstoppable!!! Ottoman forces were losing their ground. They started pulling back. Turkish left flank was broken. Yakub Celebi was defeated!

I am standing in the field, witnessing all of this. So,that is my purpose here. I have to see the battle. But why? I am not a writer,I can not transfer what I see into words. Yes,I could tell it to someone. But,would anyone listen?

Now it feels like I'm holding something in my arms. And look,it's a shield and a sword. And suddenly,I am in armor, with a picture of a dragon on it. No,this can not be. I am no warrior! But,strangely, there is no more fear. There is only one thought in my mind. To join the troops surrounding Czar Lazar.

Finally,I can move. I hear something right next to me. It's a horse, black one, with a fire in his eyes... There is no more doubt,I am destined to be defender of Christianity. I climb on it's back, and slowly,it starts to carry me towards Serbian forces, and battle!!!

To be continued...
