War of the Dragons I

Day 2,760, 06:22 Published in Japan Serbia by Stargazer89

Dragons have occupied people's imagination for ages. Myths and legends are part of every major culture in the world. Some stories tell us about good dragons, some tell us about evil ones, greedy ones, righteous and traitorous ones.. We all know that they really like treasure. Those stories shape our view of them, and even if they never existed,we still can find many things in common with them. Why? Dragons are big, they are powerful, they are free to go and do as they please, never answering to any one...And even though they are really scary sometimes, they still have a lot human in them. WELL,WHO WOULDN'T WANNA BE A DRAGON?

Just imagine,if you were a member of the order, people would point at you and say - "look,he is a dragon". Wouldn't that be cool?

You see,I am Serb in RL,and I have to mention that here because many of Serbian knights were members of this order in those dark ages! And they fought and died to defend our country and religion. As a Serb,a have a duty and a privilege to tell you about our, perhaps, greatest military moment in history!

Serbia is a small country, and yet somehow we always had great enemies at our doorstep. It is mostly because we are between east and west, between two swords and two shields that are ready to fight fiercely. We usually had to pick a side in those conflicts, and usually those conflicts turned out bad for us. But that also had something to do with our defiant spirit,we never accepted foreign ruler. That was the case in WW1 and WW2,and that was the case in 1389. A.D.

1389. is a year when Serbian country had to do something that was considered impossible. We had to fight against great Ottoman empire. Empire was on it's way into Europe, and on that path of destruction was a small, but defiant,Serbia! You have all, probably, heard of Kosovo... For that was a place destined to be the field of battle between two armies, two rulers, two continents, two Gods!! And among men who stood on that field, were DRAGONS!
