War Games with Mexico start tonight!
Dear Loyal Citizens of the eUnited State of America
The time is upon us to institute the long awaited and overdue WAR GAMES!
The treaty has been signed, details ironed out, and we ready to get these started..
You will notice a battle open up today at 15:00 eRep server time (or 6pm EST) by the eUSA against eMexico in Baja. This battle should not last long as eMexico will retreat. We will then be in possession of Baja and can commence the war games after that.
At this time, the War Games are scheduled to start at 17:00 eRep server time (8pm EST) Monday evening. If everything goes well, this will be repeated on Wednesday and Friday at approximately the same times. This will allow you to fight and use the hospital each and every day. You will have to fight in the night on the first night and in the morning, afternoon, or late afternoon on the second day. Rinse, Repeat for the following two battles. This should allow everyone to have 5 fights a day Monday through Saturday.
This first week of war games has been labeled as basic training for our citizens. No weapons will be provided through the armed services at this time. It is contemplated that this will change for the following weeks, but that will be up to congress, the military leaders, and whoever is elected president next week (Feel free to vote for Scrabman, I hear he will do an awesome job). In that same token I want to direct you to an article by the Commander of our eMarines, Eugene Harlot, that explains how to fight.

We have a limited time to conduct these games (until early May), as outlined in the Treaty. Therefore, we are attempting to maximize the number of fights we get in, and it would be my proposition to have these run every other day for the duration of our treaty. We had to pay a fee to get these games, lets make sure its worth it!
To all citizens, young and old: It is important to utilize these to increase your wellness. Your country counts on your increased productivity as well as your employer. Remember, both Florida and NJ have a Q5 hospital. These allow you to maximize your fights and wellness. Please read the article by Eugene Harlot and learn how to effectively fight for the eUSA and maximize your wellness. It is important to make sure you end the day with between 90-100 wellness. You do not help your country or yourself by fighting on the same day AFTER using a hospital.
In addition, you will have the option to fight for either side. Make sure you fight for the defender, not for the resistance. This will ensure we keep these games on schedule.
Lastly, keep an eye out for articles by my Secretary of Defense Moishe. He may have additional information that will help you to understand what is happening in our fighting. Also, Moishe has been working on some incentive programs to reward effective fighting with prizes. Please keep check his page out.

HELL YEAH! FIRST TOO LOL
p.s can anyone throw a moving ticket my way lol? I'm still in Michigan since running for Congress, and I happen to be broke.
WOOT!!! I need to gain some rank
How about a contest to decide who will get the Resistance War hero medal?
A great opportunity!
I'll get the medal for the resistance.
Lets get ready. Buy those guns and train train train!
awesome!!!! thanks for letting me everyone know i wouldnt have known otherwise... this will be my first battle and i cant wait
I think that the Hero medal is prize enough. Moishe had some ideas about rewarding units of soldiers who attack on a time table and other such ideas. I will let him explain those as they are brilliant.
Sweet! Now if we could only get the national guard to pull their thumbs from their asses.
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAA !!!!! HAIL PRESIDENT SCRABMAN !!!!
VOTE SCRABMAN VOTE SCRABMAN
good stuff
I'd warn people to NOT spend too much money on weapons during this time. If I recall one of our downfalls during the initial invasion was we burnt through ALL our weapons in the first 3 battles even though we faced no resistance
Most people should fight barehanded for this as to not weaken our weapon markets again
Take contact with your largest armory dealers to provide supplys. The wargame is waste of money if people fight barehanded.
yay! go scrabman!
Wait. dont they start tommorrow if the RW starts Monday?
Push the Green button ya'll. Joe btw. voted from Germany
Is there any way people can be supplied with weapons? I just hit level 4 strength and want to rip shit up.
Great stuff Scrab! You are America's true Uncle Sam
@Chisholm - This is not a real war, this is a planned training exercise. I would be concerned about the weapons market and over-using weapons if we were planning a campaign to take several regions.
What we are doing here is focused at getting the most experience, wellness, productivity and rank as we can during a finite period. Citizens should use weapons to do the most amount of damage as they can afford to increase their in-game rank so they can do more damage in the event of a true conflict in the future.
"Now if we could only get the national guard to pull their thumbs from their asses."
Didn't know we had them there.
Thanks for the heads up though.

Vote up the Basic War-Fighting Article. We need n00bs to know how to fight BEFORE the battle begins.
I can't wait cuz I need to raise my wellness!
Hari, what exactly is wrong wit hthe NG, I am a lieutenant within the NG. Its only used to train new citizens looking to become soldiers what more do you want from us.
This is nice, but I wish it started later on, after the deployed get back from Germany, so we could jump in at the start.
Oh well.
@panther: *shrug* Ask Fuschino.
Fuschino - your remark is not appreciated. If youi have an issue, take it up with NG command.
Good thing I just got that five gold! My first battle! Now I get to actually participate instead of going to the battle page and watching the tanks rack up points!
Awesome!! And my favorite part? It was all put together through diplomacy. Excellent step Commander and Chief.
"Awesome!! And my favorite part? It was all put together through diplomacy. Excellent step Commander and Chief."
Thank you. I have to give a good share of the credit to Publius while he was Secretary of State and to Inwegen the current Secretary of State. But this is going to work and it was something that I promised upon taking the Presidency last week.
My hope is to start funding citizens and lower military to train in week 2 of these War Games and not spending all of our money on Tanks. This will require cooperation with the military and Congress but it is my hope to get it done.
Delivering on promises = win!
What are the times exactly? Like the Schedule? Because the paper was kind of confusing
YAY.
Voted.
So the American taxpayer is now paying for a Q5 hospital for Mexico?
Screw that, you guys should have gone for wargames + region swap with Canada.
Job well done, Scrabman! Impressive!
yeyyyy
Sweet my first "Conflict" though I'm not liking getting the message "Weak fight Private"
RWAR!
woot!
Thank You. This really helped me. I'm a 40 day newb and I slaughtered myself naively 3 times in my first battle against Mexico-I'm still recovering from that but things are making much more sense to me to this go round.
E PLURIBIS UNIM
Shopman
Yeah more constructed war games!
Scrab,
Great idea and all buddy, but seriously...What are you doing?
Yes, this is beneficial for us, but it's by FAR more beneficial for PEACE. With all the MPPs still standing, you're giving 8 PEACE/Non-Atlantis countries a free training ground as well. It's completely counterproductive.
nice idea its always great giving all those other countries free fights
The US attacked Baja more than one hour ago, and Mexico has still not retreated, giving a lot of free xp to 9 Peace nations, *on top of the Q5 hospital you gave them*.
Unfortunately there is no specification on when exactly Mexico has to retreat in the contract, so there is no breach.
omg, i need a ticket, and im broke, this sux!
gah I needs me a gift to get my wellness up to fight !
The first battle is closed. The War Games will continue tomorrow evening at 17:00 server time.
And for you naysayers talking about giving PEACE free training ... this isn't about PEACE, this is about giving my citizens a chance to train and get the benefits of combat experience.
Oh, and everything went exactly as planned today. Great job everyone!
HELL YEAH!
Take that Mexico
Watch, now we are going to actually invade them, and try to wipe them off the face of the world.
@Solar: Uh, what?
Anyhow, it was nice to be diplomatic and actually agree to something that aided both sides. Pleasure doing business with all of you, and we all look forward to a long and prosperous future.
I'm planning to use weapons if I can afford them - as Eugene said, the whole point of this is to rank up, and weapons make that go a lot faster. Plus, the real way to get a strong weapons industry is to keep demand high so we get lots of production, not just to try to build a stockpile.
THIS IS FREAKING AWESOME
And exactly what I needed
Yess.
im not around for the war games
Sigh, missed it...
I am so glad that we are being told about whats going on. UncleSam never did this, so I am really impressed so farwith scrabman.
Wargames... THANK YOU SCRABMAN!!
when are the mexicans going to start the resistance war?
@DarthRavanger:
As scrabman said: "The War Games will continue tomorrow evening at 17:00 server time." That's when WE will start the RW and you fight for the defender so that the territory doesn't go back to Mexico (so that we can continue to use Baja for more war games after this one is over) and everyone who fights in it will rank up.
@scrabman: I'm glad that this was done in a way that both sides agreed upon, and this time it truly is a war game (which can now continue for more than just a day) and not a disguise for an invasion. This is the kind of stuff the eUS needs for our lower levels to rank up. Thank you .
This is crap. We paid Mexico in a ridiculously complicated treaty that was never vted for in Congress. It was Scrabman buying a Q5 hospital for Mexico.... this is crap and the people should know about it.
@ Scrabman: quit being a puss and have a real war. Your too scared that you will quickly lose popular support like Uncle Sam, so you PAID Mexico to have "war games" in Baja!!
We need a REAL leader America. One who PLANS OUT a good war, and wins. This is not an acceptable bargain.
Wish I would have known about the first one before it was over
Thanks : /
These are difficult times for the US and Mexico to trust each other. That is only natural.
We invaded Mexico, and changed our war objectives about 5 times last month.
Mexicans understandably were very upset, and some were very vocal in expressing their feelings about the US. In the spirit of full disclosure, I talked some smack myself. I would give props to Dish for his comment above, which was the most diplomatic and hopefully sincere comment I have seen him publicly post in at least a month.
I hope we can all understand how hard both negotiating teams had to work in the aftermath of battle to come up with any agreement that required us to trust each other. Trying to trust each other after the immediate heat of battle is unbelievably hard for obvious reasons.
On the US team, I think particular props are due to Publius and Inwegen who, based on my reading of the forums, worked incredibly hard for a solution to a situation that has become a nightmare both for Mexico and the US. I would also note Scrabman appeared to me to be watching over hammering out the wording of the final treaty to make sure it would protect the interests of the US.
This treaty is a risk, both for us and Mexico. Peace always is. I expressed my concerns in the forums, and now I'm done.
But the treaty is a fact, and it is my sincere hope that even if the US and Mexico are not friends or allies anytime soon, that we can find a way to peacefully co-exist.
Great idea.
Why _doesn't_ eUS supply weapons?
Just curious.

So this is just a training exercise to help train the US Troops? Interesting concept. Sadly, it stings me that I am unable to attend such a momentous opportunity.
This is no good for Atlantis
all of Peace can train on your battles
and i don't mean Indonesia they have enough fights
i mean rest of Peace alliance
Us got wary bad deal on cost of Atlantis
You shooed make deal with Canada
not Mexico
This way you make r first neighbor in PEACE stornger
Also , what r USA plans for future fights
Scrabman is "The Man", he can count on my vote. Remember, weapons not needed and one thing I thought of Level 1 Food should be enough so you have the opportunity to save some money, for those of us short on cash.
We can't make a deal with Canada because the populations on either side will complain about sovereignty. I don't think the Senator of any state bordering Canada is about to give up his state to Canada for wargames, and the same goes for Canada. Wargames in Baja is a great solution!
If we made a deal with Canada we would lose our supply of High Production diamonds from there that is crucial for our gift industry. Mexico doesn't have any resources we need.
Further, for those who are concerned that we are training PEACE for free. We aren't. The remainder of these battles are Resistance Wars and PEACE would have to travel to the USA in order to benefit from them. They don't have to do that when they have their own daily battles to fight where they are.
Look at the current Resistance War with a wall of almost 70,000 as an example of that.
@scrabman
ok then
my apologys, didnt know, i youst look at batles and see lots of peace fights there
so i thought that they r training there also
As long as you've been training every day, you shouldn't have a problem spending much money on weapons. I've trained every day since starting eRep, so I'm doing +30 damage and up with Q1 weapons. It's not a bad trade-off.
