Join the new world

Hello eCanada,

As I am sure you are aware by now, the VPs have been posting their responses to the first VP Scenario. This is mine. Determining a cabinet can be a challenge in itself; finding the right players for the right positions, and finding opportunities to those players wishing to cut their teeth in the world of politics. Together, these players must co-ordinate closely in order to lead the country successfully. My cabinet positions would consist of:


Vice President:
• to uphold the duties of the President in case of absence, death, or impeachment
• to co-ordinate with the President on all matters pertaining to the Presidency and eCanada

Minister of Defense:
• to first and foremost, safeguard the security of eCanada
• to oversee, keep record of, aide in, and direct military matters including:
o battles
o funding
o involvement
o recruiting
o daily co-ordination articles
o updated battle orders
• to co-ordinate with the Minister of Information on such issues as:
o Military Unit and battle co-ordination/articles
o The management of ATO efforts in the event of PTO threats, both internal, and external.
o Maintaining an interest of national security
• to co-ordinate with the Minister of Finance on military funding

Minister of Finance:
• to regulate and oversee the funding of various Government programs such as:
o Military Unit funding
o Player financial aide and support
o Budgeting
o Donations (internal/external)

Minister of Information:
• to first, and foremost, safeguard the security of eCanada
• write articles dealing with:
o Battle orders/co-ordination
o Matters specific to eCanada, both internal and external
• to help co-ordinate ATO efforts with the Minister of Defense
• to maintain an interest and structure of national security
• to work with the Ambassadors in terms of information on both allies and enemies

Minister of Immigration:
• to ideally put forth a plan of citizenship vetting procedures that are able to reach compromise with both the Executive, and Congress
• NOTE: if, for whatever reason, the Minister of Immigration is not able to draft a procedure that is conducive to both parties, then they are responsible for:
o aiding in background researches, should they be asked for
o aiding in ATO efforts
o working with the Minister of Foreign Affairs to promote eCanada’s image

Minister of Foreign Affairs:
• to maintain our alliances
• to work alongside the Minister of Immigration in order to promote eCanada’s image
• to serve as a respectful representation of eCanada on an international level
• to report on EDEN and TERRA activities and to support their causes
• to work with the Ambassadors in terms of information on both allies and enemies
• to aide in ATO efforts

Minister of Education
• to aide in the areas of:
o New player development
o New player military involvement/recruitment
o New player political involvement
• to serve as a guide for new players about the game, how it functions, eCanada as a whole
• to maintain a record of the current events within eCanada/update our history books
• to write articles, or, to collect and distribute articles that have been written that shed light on game mechanics

NOTE: All Ministers will be included in discussions and daily messages in order to co-ordinate properly.
