VP Scenario #'s 2-3
Andrew McKenzie Caine
Will not be posted here, nor shall any other VP Scenario articles. Following an extreme lack of effort, co-ordination, and the personal choice of neutrality, the Executive allowed for the CPP to simply fall. While this PTO was indeed an internal situation, it is no different than the Romanian PTO of Union Nationale, which had a co-ordinated ATO effort.
In a time of need, the CP chose not to get involved. Kronos once again chose not to get involved with Congress' vote. Now, he has decided to veto Rolo's pardon due to:
"... discussion barely touched the true implications of the motion, because supporters misrepresented the motion, and because conditions of support were never actually met..."
Kronos preceded this explanation with this comment:
"We have already seen a few resignations caused by the pardon, a few of which are a great lose for eCanada. So we are losing even before we see Rolo's reactions."
I see. When a few people resign in protest, there is a major debacle. However, when an entire political party - the largest political party - is PTOed, intervention and due action isn't necessary. I can see now that no matter how this new vote goes, things will never actually change. Rolo may be eCanada's greatest criminal, but there are others out there. I'm all for the betterment of eCanada, and to see an end to the bloodshed, but at what cost?
Our cost.
So, I will ask you Kronos, why did you let the CPP die? Why did you only step in now? You were needed long before now.
This article is also my resignation. Following the tremendous failure and complete disregard for the CPP's survival, and now, a pardon based upon a few supposed genuine words from eCanada's greatest villain, I have lost complete faith in our system. Congratulations. "Fix it 'til it's broke".
I will no longer put my faith in the hands of our politicians. Not unless there is a major overhaul of this system. But, I highly doubt that will happen. Thank you for showing me your true face. You're all monsters, but thank you for acting like you're not.
I continue to hope and fight for eCanada. But I will not do it alongside stagnant politicians and bureaucrats. We are better than this. So be better.
Sincerely,
An extremely disappointed and pissed off, AMC

Also, blaming Kronos for what happened to the CPP is extremely retarded.
^I don't blame him for it's fall. I accuse him of failing to act.
Quick question: When was the last time a CP intervened in the results of a PP election (officially, I mean)?
Jacobi faced something long ago with TAP but I don't think he did send in the CAF. Hmmm, I'm not sure what precedence Kronos Q had to follow in this case, except act on a personal level in the PP elections.
Kronos foresaw the benefit to EPIC with the CPP falling - And let it fall
Addy I believe intervened when wally took MOO
Chewy, was it officially done or on a personal level with Addy? I was not active then, but I suspect he did not make an executive order about it. So, not exactly.
AMC, be careful who you believe on this one. Guessing KQ's motivations is problematic.
well considering the minister of Domestic affairs directed everyone to vote MOO, (and later UN) But this was during a Romanians PTO
Not to worry Plugson, I'm not guessing. I'm asking. I want answers.
The line drawn of where a CP can step into and where they shall not interfere can be a bit hazy. But I believe that the CP should step in when the "PTOer" poses a threat and harm to the body. For example, August 2010 when Jbdivinus went up against me for PP, we called him out as a "PTOer" , yet the CP at the time (Acacia Mason) did not interfere because Jbdivinus did not directly out say that he wanted to cause harm etc, to the party. Which makes complete sense.
In this case, I think some action should have been taken against Rolo, he doesn't need to directly say what he's going to do with the party, obviously it's not going to be good based on history. To blame KQ for this is unreasonable, yet letting it slide through is unacceptable.

^This
its hard to take you seriously when you didnt bother RISE up and vote
I'm sorry to have disappointed you crisfire.
Rolo's PTO was not of the Romulan variety, it was of the jbdivinus variety.
I did not interfere in Wally's PTO of MOO because it was of the jbdivinus variety. It pained me to stay out, but the CP does not have a place in party politics in that sort of situation. Keeping Romulans out? Yes the CP does have a place, but Rolo is not a Romulan.
A malicious PTO such as this, with these intentions, is just as bad as foreign invasion.
CPP, much like MOO and UN, allowed the party to become vulnerable to a PTO.
It is abundantly apparent that to succeed in Canada you need to identify where you genuine loyalty lies, accurately measure it, and then buy enough additional "loyalty/patronage" to fend off the threats. This is the environment that eCanadians have fostered, including congress.
Remember when congress blocked the vetting of citizenships?
Remember when congress blocked the establishment of rules government the purchase of votes?
This is the bed that has been made for Canada and now its citizens must sleep in it.
The first I heard about the attempt of a PTO was part way through election day. No one seemed to have checked who their candidates were and thought to raise a bit of an alarm over Rolo. To say that it was only my "inaction" that caused the CPP to "die", is a bit much.
By the time I heard about it, groups who were more able to combat the election were already setting up. Was I to interfere with the ATO efforts of others just so that I could be seen as doing all the work? Of course not. I supported those that were already doing the work, because I would add nothing by starting a new ATO group myself.
I find there to be a lot of hypocrisy when it comes to PP elections. We care when our top parties are taken over, but we don't take a second look when the smaller parties are. Although a smaller scale, the smaller parties are a problem just like our top parties.
It is unacceptable, Artorius. It is unacceptable that we turn a blind-eye to half of the problem.
"Remember when congress blocked the establishment of rules government the purchase of votes?"
Hey, I remember that. In fact I proposed that. Right after I openly admitted that Rolo paid my way into Congress.
