Voting, changing the world 1exp at a time

Day 530, 15:19 Published in USA USA by Cynic Grim

Continuing along our random list of topics for new players, is voting.

At level 6, you can cast your vote's for the president, and congress. Everyone should vote, because this game rewards participation in its government with a free experience point for voting. It's relevant because tomorrow is eUSA's presidential election. So even if you don't care about politics, tossing your vote into fray is going to benefit you, so you should do it.

However, now that we have established that you should vote regardless, I would recommend that since one is going to vote, they should do some light research, and vote for the person who they think will best reflect their views in the position of power. Does the canidate support more training wars? Do they believe that meal's on wheels is a worthwhile government program? There are lots of things a potential president believes, and the best ways to find out what they are, are to go visit their newspapers, or if that doesn't cover the information you want to learn, go ahead and contact them directly in a game mail.

To actually toss out your vote/see who is running, go to the my places tab, and then the party sub-selection. If you scroll all the way down, you should see the current president Mr. Scarbman and a tab that says show candidates list. Those are the people that will be running for president tomorrow.

So tomorrow, cast your ballot, and hopefully for the person who you think will do the best job.

Edit: I stand corrected, it is the 5th, on that party screen, it says 1 day till elections, and that is what threw me off.
