Vote Rearden in British Columbia

Day 1,188, 11:21 Published in Canada Canada by Alexander Rearden

My Fellow Canadians,

I am running for Congress in the great Province of British Columbia as a member of the Ministry of Oppurtunity, otherwise known as MOO.

After a long hiatus from eCanadian politics, I have decided to return to the political arena as I feel eCanada can gain from both my former political experience and the added perspective of someone who has been a political outsider for over a year and a half.

As a member of MOO I stand for a government that functions seamlessly, transparently and quietly stays out of the way of citizens. If granted the privelige of serving in eCanada's congress once again this will be the over-arching goal of my time in office.

I want to develop a system that is seamless, people have clearly defined roles that minimize risk of theft and corruption. Maximize transparency where any Canadian can easily see what its government is up to, and if they so choose get involved.

This is in conjunction with maximizing the economic welfare of my fellow citizens through clearly defined, easily managed fiscal and monetary policies in-line with in-game mechanics.

My first step in this journey, one I hope to take with many other like minded congressmen, is the development of the Treasury Bond Program.

This program will offer a government backed investment tool that will remove CAD from circulation while keeping it out of the hands of those that might steal it while increasing wealth and oppurtunity for eCanadian citizens. Giving Congress and the government as a whole another tool that can safely reduce the supply of CAD allowing greater control of the nations monetary policy in a time when we have no real control.

I have already written a few drafts of the bill which are currently being debated and refined at MOO Headquarters. This program will be comprehensive yet simple, with a clear set of procedures and regulation that reduce the possibility of corruption to nearly 0.

This isn't like any Bond Program Canada has ever seen. If elected, I will lead the debate and work with my fellow congressmen to refine it even further while still keeping its original intent of giving the government a tool to remove currency from the market. I foresee the debate being fierce, but it is one I, and my fellow MOO congress members, are prepared for.

For those that would attack my candidacy over my previous service in government, I would like to make it perfectly clear. I am not the same player I was a year and a half ago.

Thank you and Long Live the Great White North,

Alexander Rearden
