Vote Rearden in BC, Bring Civility Back.

Day 1,734, 20:54 Published in Canada Canada by Alexander Rearden

My Fellow eCanadians,

I would like to formally announce my candidacy for a Congressional Seat representing the great province of British Columbia.

Congress is, justifiably, the most powerful organ of government. It is one, which in recent months has become erratic and irrational in its decision making. If elected, I will work to bring sanity back to Congress. I’m not concerned with petty politics, political takeovers and forum trolls, I want what is best for Canada in the long run and that is a stable Congress that can actually discuss policies and ideas, work the Executive instead of going behind its back. I will hold the President accountable in justifying programs that many feel are pointless are antiquated and will bring a level of civility and debate to policies issues sorely lacking in today’s Congress.

We have big choices about the future of our community like how we use the forums, how we manage the forums and build buy in from our community. I will work to have a NE that makes sense not just for this month or next month but for three or four months after that. I’ve been in eCanada for four years, I’ve seen politicians rise and fall like the tide I am not thinking about our TP gold for tomorrow, I’m thinking about how we get TP gold for months to come.

Our geography sucks, that’s not going to change but I’m going to work with the CP whether its Jacobi next term or another Coalition player. I do not care about political lines, I care about individual players and their politics.

I don’t plan on radically changing how we do business, I am far too pragmatic for that but a vote for me brings just that much more civility and long-term thinking to our most powerful government institution.

Vote Rearden in BC on the 25th.
