PQ for Dogcatcher, erm, PP, of the SFP
The arrival of V2 has been a brutal change to the game. Participation is down. Many have left. Skynet's machine armies are replicating faster than spit from their bases in Jakarta and Warsawa. Economic structures built up over many months have been damaged. And the V2 war module, while it has some interesting new features, kinda sucks in the way it resembles a crooked slot machine.
So. As the official cantankerous old coot of the SFP, I feel that now is the perfect time to step up and run for PP. After all, you know I've seen much worse. And since I've had a really bad attitude for a long time, V2-induced depression is like a light feathery tickle to me. To quote an article that ran in this very journal quite a while back, long before V2 arose:
"The e-world is the virtualized nightmare of atomized modern RL society which ultimately expresses nothing more than its desire to be medicated. The e-world is the guardian of drunkeness and dreamless sleep."

Many trades are included in the commune system and workers are needed with a wide variety of skills. For those not familiar with the commune approach, here is an opportunity to learn what it is like to receive payment in the form of bread, tickets and weapons. Be a part of the decision-making process with respect to how the collective profits should be invested. It's a system that stresses social solidarity over individual profits.
While the SFP is a smaller party, experienced players in the SFP and their friends can help you with congressional bids and elections and offer guidance on how to be an effective member of Congress.

The SFP is also the proud sponsor of the Bear Cavalry militia, one of the longest-standing autonomous peoples' militias in the eUSA. Entirely self-supported by the SFP Commune, the Bear Cavalry is a participant in the Internationale Military Committee. That is a coalition of leftist-party militias who seek to support national liberation wars, defend smaller countries and promote a revolutionary attitude towards in-game fighting. When there is not an engagement to participate in with the Internationale militias, the Bear Cavalry seeks to improve its fighting skills in DoD-advised battles as long as they are not imperialist in nature.
Friends, if you're thinking about leaving the game, first try joining a party, whether it is the SFP or another, that is active and participatory. Experience the game from another point of view. Taste the experience of being an active participant in a common project that can make sense in these difficult times.
