Join the new world

The NWT is valuable to all of e Canada and probably the Nations best kept secret, as a high resource region the value to our national economy long term is immense and will benefit all of e Canada with employment and a substantial export base to foreign markets.

Our population is low in the NWT and has always been so traditionally because the population of e Canada throughout our history has been small and concentrated into traditional RL regions and unable to support growth into our Northern Territories based on our previous and existing population.

Most of our governments have failed to plan for existential long term growth of our population into regions that are vital to our economy and the end result witnessed due to war was the loss of high value regions and the imprisonment of our citizens.

Short term solutions are just band aids and offer a false sense of security and do nothing to reduce the vulnerabilities we face in this region to strengthen our defence position, Q5 hospitals and defence systems off little protection with a small population and costs all of us money that at this time must be directed to the war effort.

I promise as your elected member of congress to work towards a long term strategy that will see population growth directed towards this region through the support of industry Canada sending skilled workers into the NWT to build our population allowing for the deployment of a Q5 hospital with enough residents to defend this region.

Will this happen overnight? The short answer is no, we need to ensure we have a plan that is viable and fits strategically with the defence of Canada, if nothing else this war has taught each of us the value of false security with the loss of so much infrastructure in sparsely populated areas with a determined enemy. Ontario suffered even with half our population moved there for defence.

We as Canadians first, must plan for new growth in our region with attainable benchmarks in population migration that will benefit the defence of the NWT and justify to Canada the placement of a Q5 hospital, it is an imposing task and our Northern spirit will overcome this obstacle.

Working with you, the residents and business owners in this important region, together, we can and will reach our goals of sustained population growth and infrastructure improvements to defend this important region.

So on October 25th, I am asking for your vote, together we can build the NWT in the STRONG, in the true north free.
