Greetings, eSingapore

Like I said in my lastest article, I`ve decided to run for presidency on 5th of december. In this article I will give some information about myself (to those who did not read my previous article) and I will also tell my plans for the next term, if I get elected.

eHistory (short)

I started my eLife in eUK where I spent my early days before coming of V1. After V1 I moved to eNorwey, which had conquered my RL homeland, Finland. Me and my fellow finns fought to free Finland, but with so many bugs in game (because of V1) I decided to quit before I truly had started to play this game.

After couple of month`s from my eDeath I noticed in Travian.fi forums that my old friend, Okkius Pyromanius, was joined the race for eFinland`s presidency. I decided to help my friend and I came back from the dark halls of eHell, where (as someone say) I belong.

Most of these titles are meaningless or not so important. They don`t tell anything else but that I`ve seen eWorld and that I have some connections in foreign countries (and maybe some experience in some areas of this game and it`s mechanics).


My cabinet

Goverment

First I will focus on my cabinet. I`ve been trying to gather my cabinet as fast as it is possible so that it can start it`s work straight away when/if I`m elected. I appreciate IRC activity from my ministers and I`m going to ”force” my ministers to our goverment`s IRC channel. This because it is much easier for me to communicate with my ministers throught IRC than throught MSN or forums. This will also increase our ministers knowledge about other ministers doing – when they are in one channel they can share their opinions and thoughts with each other and ask help from other ministers if needed to.

I ask activity, hard work and organizational ability from my ministers – I wont be present 24/7 because of my studies IRL (although I try to as active as possible) but I will leave orders to my Vice-CP who will deliver them to my ministers if I`m not able to do that. I will also make sure that there is clear hierarchy in my cabinet so that everyone knows what to do if I`m not online for some reason. The more effective the cabinet is the better everything works.

Information

During the last few months there has been a lack of information in our media. Presidents and ministers have published only couple articles to our media and they`ve not been so informative. If I will win I will try to make sure that my administratio will publish informative articles to our media. These articles can contain information about our foreign affairs, global events, our internal affairs or about something else, which could help our citizens to understand what`s going on in Erep and Sing.

I will name one person to be my Minister of Information and I will personally participate in this attempt to keep our citizens informed about things in Erep.


Diplomacy is an important part of our policy

Military and foreign affairs

I am not an economical genious, but I am pretty good with diplomacy and foreign affairs. This is why I`m gonna focus on our foreign affairs and leave the economy to my ministers (which are selected carefully).

In past month our relations with ePhilipines have suffered a little bit. All this happened when they posted lulz-article about conquering eSingapore and when they made a plan to merge with eMalaysia and eSingapore and threathened to attack. The motive of this was not to harm eSingapore but to wake our citizens and make both nations more active than before. And they succeed in it – although they almost destroyed our relations.

If I will get elected, I will try to fix those relations. Jelly, Hekter and many other ePhilipinos are my friends and I`m sure that we can heal all injures in our relationship. ePhilipines and eSingapore have been allies since... so long that I can`t even remember it. There is no reason to forget our past and bring bad blood between us. ePhilipines are our allies. And one of my attentions is to remind everyone about that.

If possible, I would like to increase the cooperation between our countries. Malaysia, Philipines and Singapore have stick together even after the Sol alliance collapsed and it would be possible to have more cooperation – even if we would not merge with them. I`ve even planned to create somekind of triumvirate with them (military cooperation, economical etc.) but I first have to negotiate with their presidents.

eSingapore is a neutral country (what it comes to EDEN-PHOENIX conflict – we have allies, but we are not participating that war between those super-alliances) because there is no reason to join EDEN or PHOENIX. If we would join either of them, we would just risk our sovereignity. We`re a small nation and as a member of EDEN-or-PHOENIX we would not propably get enough attention to our own problems while bigger countries would just run after their own interests. If I get elected, I will make sure that our neutrality is up-dated and that each alliance recognizes it (if possible).

What it comes to our military, I`m still trying to find out what is the current status of our armed forces. I`ve been away from Sing a long time and I don`t know much about our military. That is why I contacted Mista earlier today and after a short conversation we made a deal; we will talk about our military later and make sure that I know everything vital about it and he will help me with it if I get elected. So Mista would serve eSingapore as a Minister of Defense if I will win the elections.



Like other candidates, I am also eager to get an MPP to Singapore so that we can fight in wars. To an old player like me it is pretty boring to just watch how other countries are involved in wars and stay away from fun. The problem is that MPPs are pretty expensive – 100g is pretty high cost from only one month of battle. We lost most of our orgs and now there is not much money in our national treasury – this makes it even harder to pay those 100g from MPP.

One way to gain money for that MPP is to ask our citizens to donate gold for that MPP. In my last term as your CP I did the same thing and we succeed to gather enough gold for an MPP. But the fact is that even if we could get an MPP for the next month, it is possible that we cannot sign it again in next month.

I will do my best to get an MPP to eSing, but I cannot quarantee that the presidents after my term can do the same. We`re not a rich nation.



Stolen organizations

Like most of our citizens already know, our country organizations were stolen week ago. We lost like 1/3 of our cash with that robbery and almost all our property. Only two orgs are left – fortunatelly the one of them is Singapore Housings Bank which is guarded by Arb (no one else has access to that org) and most of our money was kept there. So we`re not totally broke.

Still we lost pretty much money. I`ve already contacted admins about this and so have Thedark. If I will win elections, I will try to continue from Thedarks attempts to get our organizations back. Sometimes admins have helped countries who have lost their organizations – sometimes they haven`t. We can only hope that they can help us.

The most serious problem seems to be that our presidents have not remembered some vital things at the beginning of their term. Our organizations were stolen because our former CPs didn`t change the passwords of the emails of the orgs. Before this robbery, some gold was stolen from our previous treasury org – because CPs didn`t change the passwords of the orgs at the start of their term. We have to get a rid of this apathy before our whole nation gets robbed.

If I will get elected, I will make sure that my successor will change the passwords of the email address and the orgs itself. It is not a big deal and wont take long. I will make sure that he will tell the same to his successor and that he will tell it to his and so on. We can`t let this happen again. We lost almost our all orgs just because our former CPs were stupid. Before that we lost hundred of gold just because our former CPs were stupid. We can`t let this happen again.



Recruiting, immigration and finance

Like logamac has already said in his article, we need new players. Our population is pretty small and the more citizens we would have, the much more interesting this game would be. My plan is to write some articles to foreign countries and to encourage people to move here. Thedark has tried to cause an Baby Boom here in Singapore, but unfrortunatelly he has not succeed in it (not the first time when we fail in it). This is why we have to rely on IRL foreign players just like we`ve done before.

If those articles and advertisements will cause a huge wave of immigrants to Singapore, then we have to make sure that no one of them is a PTOer. This is why I will createan office of Minister of Immigration. MoIm will take care of immigrants – he will check their newspapers, former articles, friendlists etc. After he has checked applicants, he will send a list to our congressmembers where he tells which players are propably not PTOers and which might be.

As a foreign player I am eager to get some new people here to Singapore. Yes we have suffered from serious PTO threaths in our past, but because we can`t rely on possible baby boom here in Singapore, we have to get new citizens from foreign eCountries. Ofc we have to be really serious with the immigrations so that we don`t accidentally get PTOed.



If I get elected, the most important goal of me is to gain some profit to our country. It is really easy to spend money, but if we`re eager to have war games etc. We have to gain some profit – otherwise we will just loose money.

Personally I am at my strongest in foreign affairs, but I am pretty poor with economy. That is why I`ve asked one of my closest friends to help me with it and I will also keep in touch with the best economic experts of eSingapore. I will plan our economic goals with them before I will give you any special promises about it.


So this is what I promise to you (or what I plan to do if I get elected). I hope that my experience and plans are enough for our citizens to vote for me in next elections.
