Tomorrow, day 1,313 of the new world, will mark the June congress elections. This election will be contested by candidates from all of the Netherlands four political parties, in our two regions. All players with Dutch citizenship and having achieved level 14 or greater will be eligible to vote for a candidate in the region they reside in.

With each election in our democracy, our civic duties of citizenship of the Netherlands and as members of the community become greater and more important to honour. Voting for our representatives in congress is one of the main ways we, as Dutch citizens, can participate in our democracy. It gives you a chance to express your voice and opinion in a binding way that will have the ability to impact public policy and, potentially, the direction of our nation. I cannot stress enough how important it is for you to vote in this coming election and hold up some of your responsibilities of citizenship.
While voting is key for your voice to be heard, it is important that you are voting for a party and their candidates that stand for similar values and ideals that you do, and will represent your voice in congress. In any election, it is important to be an informed voter and to know the who is running. I would like to encourage everyone to read the platforms and articles published by each party and candidate, and decide for yourselves which party you will support on the 25th.
