The situation in modern eRussia is strange. The country is one of the richest and strongest in the world, our hackers scare the admins, sometimes we TO small countries for fun and when we start replenishing our weapon reserves we ruin markets. Despite all that everyone seems to be demoralised and there is a general loss of interest to the game with many prominent figures leaving the game. A well-known russian player Ptitzin called this DDM and in this article I'm going to tell you how we got there.

Loss of national idea.

In Russia we just can't live like europeans or most any other nations do. We need to have a national idea. IRL it was communism. 20 years ago we lost it and now we have lost 2 decades trying to understand where to go (slowpoke.jpg). Under Putin some attempts to introduce the idea are made (Winter Olympic Games in Sochi 2014, restoration of the former soviet might, etc) but it's hard to say they are really uniting the people).

Same applies for eRussia. When we were under occupation by our "allies" the whole country worked day and night to return the regions. When the happy day came and the country was restored in its borders we suddenly realised we've nothing to do. The other reason why many people started to play erepublic was Russia's war on America. We saw 1/3 of all american states under our control, got our lulz, and again had nowhere to go. Some people even say we should start a war, retreat from valuable regions and start returning them again, so that we can have some fun. No other nation in eworld is crazy enough to do that.

Loss of interest in the political life.

Three reasons here.

1)The party building epoque is over. Four major parties appeared within 4 months. Top five are now well established and there are no new interesting leaders with people to support them on the horizon.

2)Too much dirt. Dirty elections with secret negotiations between the worst enemies. Dirty election technologies. Elected presidents impeached by the parliament to install the presidents the parliament wanted.

3)Multies in every effing election.

Press has become dumb

Several months ago we used to pride ourselves on having the cleverest press in the eworld. Minimum spam, advertising, senceless blabbering, maximum analytics. I used to read every article published every day. Now there is even a popular meme ("-2 gold&quot😉 that is used when the newspaper is useless. And we see those more and more.

Probably there are more reasons for DDM working to its full capacity. But to my mind these are the most important ones. I remain a patriot of my country, but imho living there now is a complete bore. And here I am with you guys, exploring the new world of british politics and re-exploring the game.
