Virginia's Vote - Words from Senator Dmalicious

In light of recent events it has become absolutely clear that certain parties seek to undermine the fundamental truth behind eUSA governance and game mechanics and it is in the spirit of education and good will towards the people of the Commonwealth of Virginia that I am releasing a second article towards my re-election effort today:

Tariffs
To the informed eCitizen, it is common knowledge that Romania and Indonesia do not play this game like a role play simulation. As President Scrabman noted, they play the game like a game, exploiting its mechanics to become the two strongest nations in the eWorld. The eUSA on the other hand, chooses to re-enact its real life likeness to lower tariffs in the name of "good will" and as a "bargaining chip" for other nations to lower their tariffs.

This holds no place in eRepublik. Romania lowered their iron tariffs to 1% after the loss of Podolia and returned them to 99% after they regained a high iron region. If we are to become a superpower in the eWorld, thenj it is imperative we play eRepublik like the game it is and use our strengths: shut out foreign oil, grain, and wood companies and export our own to countries which lack these resources. Only by exploiting the game can we truly be enriched from it, and no matter how much rhetoric is spewed out by the "free-trade" advocates - such a thing cannot and will not exist within the eWorld.

Government Initiatives
As your current senator, I can attest that I have taken part in a re-organization effort within congress to make congress more efficient via the creation of new committees and replacement of obsolete ones. I have and will always support the continued success of the skill 0-1 training companies set up by the government to get new players on their feet and will support new initatives designed to enrich the lives of new players so that we may retain them for the future.

Economy
When looking at the viability of the current 0.02 Gold - Dollar system, it is imperative for the continued success of the American worker that it remains that way. Our current exchange rate enriches the lives and wallets of our citizens and is vital for our continued success. Any changes to this exchange rate without adequate study would destabilize the economy and as your senator I will simply not allow that to happen.

Common Roots
I'd like to emphasize for the purpose of my campaign my roots in this game. I was born in New Jersey and at the time Uncle Sam was still a presidential candidate. Shortly thereafter I moved to Arizona and ran (and lost) to National Guard general istarlan for Arizona's congressional seat. I later moved to Virginia and ran (and lost) against sabotage75. It was not until last month that I attained my first seat in congress and have been working every day for the interests of Virginia and the eUSA as a whole. I've earned everything I have in this game and am currently the CEO of General Resources - which holds two very profitable oil and moving ticket companies (two industries heavily affected by the recent tariff changes). You know me - you know what I stand for. As the author of the eUSA FAQ's it was my belief that no new player should be as clueless as I was in the first few weeks of my gameplay and I work very hard every day to ensure that their experience is a pleasant one.
