Victory or defeat?
Equality 7-2521
We LOST today. That much is clear. Were there any mistakes? Possibly, but not any glaringly obvious ones right now. Does that mean the whole thing was a mistake? ABSOLUTELY NOT. We learn from this, but it is not a mistake. I can honestly say I was very proud to see TREMENDOUS SUPPORT from Congress both in the HoR and in #congress on Rizon IRC. It was VERY CLEAR that Congressmen wanted to win this thing. People were offering PRIVATE GOLD to other players, as a gift, who could do more damage than them.
We LOST today. But, today, we were a f'in country. We were ONE country.
... Plus, we lost to an IRL American, anyway. Unfortunately, we have turned some people off to our country with the way we've been in the past of too much talk, too much bluster and not enough SMART action. Many of these people have gone on to other countries. Some have gone over to that "other" alliance, even. ...
I am never more proud than when I see ALL of us COMING TOGETHER for a unified, SINGLE PURPOSE. We all knew we could step back, reaccess and make adjustments after the fact. There was no time for second guessing or half-assed measures. We LOST today, but at least we lost with our WHOLE ASS in it.

wow good to go whole a@@
Learn and live, I mean there were no fatalities right 🙂
damn strait have both cheeks in the pot 😃
After enough failures, perhaps we'll have learned enough to start winning? XD I jest, I jest.
Good point Eq. I wish we won, but at the very least, we came together for a common goal, and will be stronger in the long-term for it.
How do you know we were one country? Have you had your head in the sand?
Whole hog > half hog
Whole cocked > half cocked
Whole assed > half assed
Agree 100%
Agreed, we felt pretty deflated this morning but there's plenty of reason to be encouraged. Glad I'm not one of the dudes who has to figure out what to do next.
i must subscribe to this 🙂

Just a tip for all americans... when some one says this kind of thing it usually means that he does not have a clue of what he is saying!
Yes you have lost, and let that be a leeson for you
You do not mees with Orthodox brothers
First, thanks for the expected PEACE spamming/gloating. We only know you care because you comment. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy.
Second, "but at least we lost with our WHOLE ASS in it."
Eq, you might not qualify as one of Winston Churchill or Abraham Lincoln's speechwriters, but you hit the nail on the head.
I talked later to many Americans who were watching the last 20 minutes of the battle in FER. They had largely the same experience I did. It was like watching the last two minutes of the Superbowl with your team holding the ball, but down by one touchdown.
You watch the wall rise an fall, cheering everytime it goes your way.
Unlike the Superbowl, eventually I, like many Americans, suited up and went in again. Even though I know you never, never, never fight the same day after you have healed in a hospital, I did it anyway. It was that close.
Then you figure out how to get well again later.
Now I'm back in Spain making iron for export to the US. With the setbacks in Romania, I imagine we'll be busier than ever.
Oh, and if like me, your wellness was low after yesterday, The Baeleric Islands in Spain has a Q5 hospital, and you'll get a chance to revisit lovely Oaxaca again.
One fight gets you back up into 90's wellness again.
America will prevail.

THATS RIGHT!
:3
Nicely written. Also nice to see there isn't much negative comments from PEACE nations here. It's always cool to let countries win and lose with honor.
Plus, 76 votes and only 15 comments?
Chisholm: See my article. I got flamed by PEACE.
i just joined yesterday and i missed the battle srry but from wat i heada we put up a good fight
Eq, you make a good point. As long as America can stay together as one ass-kicking force, we have never been fully defeated.
The most important thing to do now is to put this loss behind us and get back to winning. Dont let this get into our heads and dont let one battle beat us twice.
@ Chisholm, with over 1300+ "friends" I have plenty in both alliances and in neutral countries. I shouted the article link respectfully asking PEACE to not troll comments. I gotta say, I respect them for not doing it. This article never made the Top 5 US, so maybe not everyone saw it. But, still.
Organizacao Tupi,
Do you know that you are insulting the real American flag with your picture there?
I would like to know how would you react if I do a little of photoshop with your flag?
BTW, when Brazil is going to return Mesopotamia to Argentina, after all you are both members of PEACE?
Given this new situation in geopolitics, I wonder how long Hungary and Indonesia will cooperate. They are the two greatest empires in the world now. Such a situation leads to an inevitable struggle for domination. Think about it. If we are to believe PEACE citizens, the USA is militarily ineffective. Thus, it logically follows that we are no threat. After the Romanian surrender, they are certainly no threat. The only credible threat to Indonesia's security is Hungary, and the only credible threat to Hungary is Indonesia.
@ Seth Ford, I never really followed the battles around the world, since we weren't a part of them. But, your point seems valid. I was under the impression that Hungary was mostly in PEACE because they wanted to go after Romania. With Romania gone, why even bother staying in? Destroying the United States just seems futile. They should side next with whomever can actually take on Indonesia and if Indonesia is somehow beatable, then they can turn on weaker opponents one-by-one in order to dominate. I'm not convinced that Hungary can beat Indonesia, though, even if they joined Atlantis.
