Vice President Update - Day 1570

Day 1,570, 08:26 Published in Canada Canada by Andrew McKenzie Caine

Hello eCanada,

This morning, it was announced that Acacia Mason will be retaining his post as Country President. Acacia stated in ODC that:

"I was simply presenting an option to you in the event you have no other options. Believe me, I want out of this country and this game more than you know. I however feel incredibly selfish just walking out the door and leaving people who did nothing, hanging because of it.

This was never about dealing with something controversial or the going getting tough. I could and would have gladly fought through an in game issue or controversy. When someone chooses to involve my RL particulars in a game of fantasy...well thats a whole other matter.

So let's make this easy then...do you want AMC running the show or do you want me running the show? I suppose one could argue that my particulars are already all over the god damn IRC logs (not directing that at you in any way Eric...no worries there) so what have I got to loose right?

Its up to you Congress...you can impeach, have me button push, or I can close out the next 30 days and move on. I will do whatever you think is best...I just don't like the idea of bailing and ruining the game for people who did nothing to deserve what has happened. I guess I just don't like to ruin things for people who did nothing to me."

Acacia's intent to retain the Presidency followed here:

Adasko has apologized for his egregious actions. I accept what he has said and will move on.

Assuming Congress is ok with it, I am going to resume business and carry on from here.

I would like to thank eCanada for its patience and the diligent work that Congress has done in order to keep the ship steady during these past two days. Thank you for bearing with me. Cool heads have prevailed and many, many thanks to Acacia for coming back to lead us. I am confident that his tenure as Country President will be very successful and memorable, much like his last. Welcome back my friend; you're back in your rightful place.

There is much to be done this month, and the Cabinet will be hard at work. I look forward to keeping you all up to date on our progress and will be speaking again soon.

Without further adieu eCanada: Acacia Mason

Sincerely,

Vice-President of eCanada
