I'm mostly infantry, but also tanks. Merkava Mk. 4 - the best tank in the world!
(and those who would argue should re-think what a tank is made for)

Too late and too fail. You should not ask people what they want to be, you should advise what out country need from them to be. We will probably have 80% air, tank, aa and only 10% of them who can actually afford all this stuff. I am not talking about people who are spreading their skill points, like SayeretMatkal did, what is even more fail. Better give an IRC link, or link to Skype or Jabber conference, where new players and two-clickers can get enough information about V2 from older players.

First of all, I don't intend to us only rifles/tanks. If I would have taken 100% tanks it would be a waste since I can't afford tanks all the time. And 100% rifles would deny me the opportunity of crushing the majority of our enemy (rifles) with tanks when I can afford it. I see this combination as a smart choice.
Secondly, you are exaggerating. It's not too late to ask people for info, and many players already knew how to choose their skills.

...But you're not even on the late end of the spectrum. There won't be any battles for a week after the launch, so people can become more familiar with the V2 settings. It says so in the eRepublik (is) Rising article.
