Vermont Needs Blood

Day 1,556, 00:31 Published in USA USA by Dru Blood

Congressional election season is upon us and I have been chosen to run in Vermont and if elected I will proudly represent the citizens this great state. As everyone knows a Congressperson may only effect Law Proposals. My promise is to vote my conscience on all laws except Donation Proposals for which I will always vote yes.

Rules for the Office of Militia Support

During this term I will seek a more transparent Government and will ask for changes in the rules concerning the funding of Militias. Recently an article concerning this issue was published which received over 100 comments. The amount of comments this article received, before it was removed for being spam, convinced me that this is a major concern for most citizens. Once the article had been removed the thread ‘How Can We Stop Potential Fraud’ was trashed by the moderators of the eUnited States Forums. For me this raised a red flag, if there is no fraud happening why then was this topic removed from both eRepublik and the eUS Forums? Currently citizens who control the distribution of funding to Militias are, in some cases, the same citizens receiving the funding for a Militia. Although fraud can not be proven and I personally do not believe any fraud is currently happening, the fact that an article which addressed this issue, received so many comments and then was reported as spam raises concerns in the minds of a large percentage of Americans. I will, therefore, ask for the following rule: The Director of the Office of Militia Support (OMS) and the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), who are in charge of distributing funding, may not be the Commanding Officer of any Militia which receives Government funding. Also I will be asking for the rules of the OMS be made a part of the Official Constitution and Code of the eUS.
