vCP - Asteria vs Sirius

Day 2,280, 02:45 Published in Australia Australia by eAus Department of Information

G'day Aussies,

Well as some of you may have seen recently, both global alliances have now been announced with their founding members and are continuing to try and recruit to their stable. There are talks of further alliances emerging that will be aligned to the two powerhouses already officially announced but we'll keep you up to date as soon as we can. As you would expect Australia is still working on making sure we have the best possible allies who we can offer our full support.

So, what are the two new alliances and who are the founding fathers...lets have a very brief look shall we?

So let's start with the alliance that was started first shall we? Asteria so far looks the most powerful with regards to the amount of huge damage they can hand out for their allies and their own country. The founding fathers consists of six nations - Argentina, Greece, Serbia, Slovenia, Hungary and Romania. There have been times the six have been facing each other on the opposite sides of the battlefield with different alliances and so far their have been a little bumps on the way with regards to deploying their damage in a fully mobile way but this is a very formidable alliance designed for strength.

The current and first Secretary General of Asteria is the Greek country President poseidonsr who was unanimously elected by all the other five founding nations. One of poseidonsr first duties will be to prepare a full charter acceptable to all, which should be revealed any day now, as well as helping the alliance grow with talks with other prospective nations.

They currently look like they are leading the race, but as we have seen so many times in eRepublik - Just because you are leading the sprint doesn't mean you will win the marathon. Either way this is a very powerful and formidable alliance.

Sirius was the second alliance to reveal themselves and like Asteria they have six founding nations in their HQ, these are - U.S.A, Poland, Spain, U.K, Croatia and Turkey. Like their rival this is another alliance that raised eyebrows within their own communities at some of the members within the founding group. Past rivalries have been cast aside in both alliances but Sirius claims to be more about brotherhood and having the upper had when it comes to the knowledge of best deploying and distributing their damage, whether this will be enough will be down to the current neutral nations who will play an important part on which alliance has the upper hand in the long run.

The first Secretary General of Sirius is mittekemuis and so far it does seem like they have a lot of work ahead of them, but as we have seen from the collapse of so many alliances - just because you have the strength does not mean you have the diplomacy and unity to keep the bonds together.
