Join the new world

First of all, hello to all my subscribers, this newspaper has been inactive for some time but now I just can't resist the urge to write one last article. Now, back to business :

I wasn't one of those people that just hated it from the beginning, I wasn't one of the players that said he'll quit without giving it a chance and I really tried to be optimistic about V2, but after tonight I just lost all my optimism and my will to play and there's no hope of getting it back in this version of eRepublik. I know that the admins will probably delete this article, because "free speech" is something that doesn't have it's place around here.

So, why do I hate v2 so much suddenly? Well, let's see. I'll tell you what happened to me tonight for example, I was happily running around the battlefield when I decide to attack a tank with 13 something damage and 75% chance to hit me, I had 28 something damage and 84% chance, so the fight begins : he attacks first, critical hits me, I attack back and miss, he attacks a second time and hits me, I attack back and miss, he attacks me again, I attack back and hit him finally, he attacks me and kills me, byebye Frostxtq. FAIR, not.

I know what you'll say "stop bitching Frostxtq, he was just lucky, things like that rarely happen and you should cry me a river, build a bridge and get over it already". Oh yea? last night, I fought a guy that had 5 extra damage over me and a higher chance to hit, I had like 40 health and he had 90+, "I'm dead meat" that's what I said to myself, but WAIT, random generator strikes once again, I attack first and critical hit him, then he misses, then I hit him again, then he misses, then I hit him again and I win. Now you'll say "Why are you complaining you totally pwnt that soab", well, WHY am I complaining? because that's NOT FAIR, at fricking ALL. I don't care that I won, I still don't think it's fair that things like that should happen.

So what's my message besides ranting and venting frustration? Well, pretty simple, ADMINS, LISTEN UP, I'LL GIVE YOU THE TIP OF THE CENTURY : FIGHTS ARE BASED WAY TOO MUCH ON THE RANDOM NUMBER GENERATOR(RNG, people that played MMO's like WoW know what I'm talking about). Randomness should only make so much difference, like for example if a player has 3 less damage and both have equal health, the weaker one should win a few fights out of a few dozen due to the random factor, but under no circumstance should a player with LESS THAN HALF damage win over another. Less random, more skillz ! nau!

But this isn't the only thing that's bothering me, I mean they completely ruined the economy, I have to keep my companies inactive because I can't do sh*t with them, so money isn't exactly rolling in, but the need of boosters is of course higher than in v1. I mean in v1 at least we had Lana, she wasn't exactly my favorite person in the world, but at least it was only her asking me for 1.8 gold and AT LEAST when I trained with her I could see the difference in my damage and strength right away. Nowadays I have to give Lana 1.8 g for weeks on end for me to actually have a little damage boost, and then there's all the other little material girls asking you for money. Yeah, I could not use them (which I don't), but that's why my health is 20 now and it'll take me months to advance in rank.

OH YEA, ranks, I totally forgot, you know, ranks are really f***** up. I mean, I've always dreamed of reaching RupeTot in strength and damage, but NOT like this, I really am not happy that I as a player that hit 200 less damage in v1 and had more than 10 less strength than him can now hit exactly as he does, it's just completely LAME and disrespectful towards the older players in this game that have sacrificed years and a lot of gold to get where they are(were). And at least the strength difference was only 10 between Rupetot and him, there are players that had like 15 or more less strength and can still hit as hard as he can, in what universe is that fair? I mean since v2 began every freaking person in the eWorld is a Guru and a Vetaran.

So what's left? the media and political module, which are the same, which were never really that good to begin with. oh great. You know, I used to like 1 thing the most in eRepublik, watching that wall drop as my comrades and me used to attack during the last minute of a battle, seeing those Hungarian tears as the wall is hurdling towards oblivion, but now, now I have to join a battle 2 hours before and watch boring little models move around a plain and taking tiles, while you're at it, why don't you just give us a dice to roll around and let that decide battles.
