Using Combat to Increase Wellness
Australian Warlord
I've said previously that the eGov's wellness program is a extraordinary waste of money. Today there's a Aussie eBusiness that looked at copying the eGov's for it's own employees. Simple fact, the eGov's scheme costs 3 times as much as it needs to.
To any Aussie eBusiness that wants to have a wellness program for it's employees. Save yourself 2/3rd of your expenses & use combat & Q5 hospitals to increase wellness. Currently combat is in eGermany so program below is for there.
* Buy your employee two moving tickets.
* Have employee work for the day.
* Instruct employee to travel to Schleswig-Holstein in eGermany.
* Have employee fight once only for the day.
* Use Q5 hospital. (if unable to find hospital then go to My Places. Country Admin, Society, then down to Schleswig-Holstein (should be your eGermany location)).
* Early next day fight again to 50 something percent wellness then use hospital to have 100% wellness.
* Return to eAustralia & back to same job.
Note : You can only fight if wellness is over 40%. Q1 moving tickets cost 2 wellness. So employees need min 42 wellness to undertake program.
( edit) People don't actually need a weapon to fight & the hospital doesn't cost anything.(end edit)

This program costs a tiny faction of the eAustralian Gov's program. Don't copy their money down the drain exercise, save money by using the combat & Q5 hospital program.
(btw : I didn't invent it, this program is used by almost everybody else, except in eAustralia).

Aw there isn't enough moving tickets on the market to move everyone to another country and back!
There is only enough for 26 people to move.
This program and the medicare system fail to help those who are really in need, people just starting out (ie 1-6) are the most hard hit by wellness and companies who regulary take on skill 0 employee's either wont be able to afford such a program as these low level people are not cost effective yet.
scotywest - good point, but don't forget that workers in Germany can buy German transit tickets. And of course, the shortage means that first in, first served.
our medicare shouldn't be first in first served it should be too the neediest, active workers
Our medicare shouldn't be giving ANYTHING to people who don't work!! Only people who work at least most days should EVER recieve anything from medicare. Particularly those working for high lvl companys.
@Probability
Are you saying that those working in the high level companies for higher wages deserve more and should get free things over those who actually cant afford it yet?
@ Patti
I still am of the firm beleive that our retention rate of incoming new citizens would be a lot higher if we helped them in the first few days they came into the game.
@ Alex. the problem is that if we do the criteria u said we would end up with alot of loss due to many going inactive and not working the economy. thats not because eAustralia is a very boring place to start at, its because like typical gamers, some wont find eRepublik accustomed to their taste.
@Alex
If a Person is Working, then they will receive the medicare, that is how it works. If there not working, then not only are they not earning income to afford food themselves, but there not producing business.
If your still confused, check out the forums at http://forum.erepublik.com.au/index.php
Lol, nice tactic to get people to fight for eGermany.
@Preditorian, Thanks but I'm not confused, I understand how it works I just dont agree with it but as Broadside noted their isn't really an ideal fix due to the nature of gamers.
I still beleive that helping the 1-6's in some fashion is the best way of getting people to come back after their first 15 mins now that the triva part of the game is gone.
As much as people critized trivia, if did add something to the game badly lacking. Only problem was how it was done.
People are getting into trouble because they don't know the basics. For instance, new players shouldn't be working in anything other than a Q1 company. Teaching people how to play is the most impportant thing, not giving handouts to people that are more likely than not to quit.
But AW the question then should be why are GM's of companies over Q1 looking for low skilled workers? If the GM's dont advertise the jobs then the new players cant get themselves into trouble.
The problem with this system is that the companies need to advertise a job when the worker leaves. Then another person can take the job and this person may have a wellness of 20. The productivity will be terrible in this situation. But neat idea until we have the Q5 hospital and MPPs in place.
Just so you all know, people don't actually need a weapon to fight & the hospital doesn't cost anything.
@Suntan : I'm told that you can offer work to a specific person but don't quote me on that.
Keep it up guys!
