War is Coming

The eRepublik staff is bringing the peaceful Platon (not Platonic!) era to a close and issuing in the new ephemeral leadership of the Great Emperor Caesar. In addition to the new war module there will also be a much better system for the regulation of banks coming, until then continue to make full use of the contract forum.


Buy eAmerican!

While there have been various articles written about it (most with the "just buy MY stuff, who cares what nationality it is") there really is a need to "Buy American!" Right now we are in a state of economic flux, some of it based on currency valuation and some of it based on our normal growing pains. We have been seeing a lot more actual population growth and retention in the US which has been placing a burden on our companies to expand (especially with new companies starting up). The only way we can continue growth is with continued reinvestment of capital.

Many new players may not realize it, but the monetary system in eRepublik is very fragile and not self-sustaining by definition. We have to work very hard and be very mindful of how we spend our money in order to sustain it. Foreign companies undercutting our existing companies will be able to do so for a long time to come because of how they structured their market. We made a mistake when we started the US with how large salaries and prices for goods should be. While we are working to correct the deficiency, we need your help to do it. Continue to ignore the foreign goods being priced so low on the market, and we will continue to work to fix the strength of the US dollar.


Saturday is Election Day!

International Diplomacy

With the impending war module many citizens are finally starting to concern themselves with international relations. This seems to be the hot button for everyone these days. Just how bad is the economy and what do we need to do to fix it?
