These soldiers are possibly C Troop, 3rd Cavalry c. 1912-1917 at an unknown Indian Wars fort.

As we all know, eRepublik had been bleeding players back in V1, which has developed into full on hemorrhage with V2. Game Admins' recent step backwards to what is being termed V1.5 is not exactly bringing in more new players, but may have slowed the exodus of old timers. In fact, we are seeing some returning players, interested enough to try the latest version of eRep and rekindle old friendships through the social networking aspects of game play.

This has directly affected the population of all eCountries including the USA, and subsequently membership in all military branches has declined. The US Cavalry was initially developed out of the split of the old US Army, which had been at a peak of around 300 soldiers at the time. Army Group East became the US Cavalry, with its own Rangers, Recruit Battalion, and Staff level support Units such as Intelligence & Security, Public Relations, and Internet Technology.
Soldiers are not quitting the Military, players are quitting the game! Players who join the Military tend to be those who seek a greater degree of involvement than as 2-clicker civilians-- many are also business entrepreneurs and some are politicians in addition to their Military activity. The added social interaction through the Military Forums and many IRC channels is a real plus to membership in any Military branch. Many of these same players not only seek but require the basic elements of the game to be stable and fun, and as the game Admins consistently fail at this the game loses players, the Military losing the best of them.
But, as mentioned above, among those players returning to the game are some Military personnel who enjoy the off-game friendships and fun as well as the game-specific camaraderie and added depth that Military enlistment brings.

Officers of the 9th Cavalry
Cavalry Executive Officer Lt Gen Ethix has undertaken the difficult task of evaluating and assessing the US Cavalry's assets and its needs, and has made some adjustments toward efficiency and effectiveness at our current lower numbers. US Cavalry personnel are directed to read the full text at Board index » Cavalry » General Talk » Branch Changes, others will suffice to read this summary of the bullet points.

• Cavalry Rangers has been deactivated for lack of mission and personnel. If a specific need for their return arises they will be reactivated in the future.
• Our old Cavalry DXO Mainegreen has retired, handing both his roster ownership and position and rank to DeyoZero.
• A new section was created called Cavalry Honorary Holding.
- This section is a holding ground for those in limbo as well as those who are on Long Term LoA.
• The position Senior Enlisted Officer is removed as well as the Rank Command Sergeant Major is deactivated.
• To replace Senior Enlisted Officer is the new position Regiment DXO.
• RECBN has undergone a complete overhaul, and it is now called Cavalry Scout Battalion.
• Roster was re-done to reflect the current status of the Cavalry.
