Update: day 496: public forum, Germany and TO's

Dear citizens of the ATLANTIS memberstates





It’s time for my weekly update again. Let’s start with one of the most important event this weeks: The joining of Germany to ATLANTIS. The vote on this matter was already finished last Sunday but I didn’t wanted to make it public before Germany had some ATLANTIS MPP’s to trust on in case Hungary would attack. I’m glad we did this, because it proved to be a good move as we can all see now. We all welcome the German-Austrian Union in our midst and are very pleased to have them here. In the little time since they have joined, they showed great cooperation and willingness to help out. The German-Austrian public truly have very capable leaders.


PEACE against democracy

Their entry to the alliance brings me to the next point. The cowardly attack by PEACE on Austria. This attack is purely a retaliation because the German-Austrian public made a democratic choice. This is a attack with the sole reason of revenge. There is no economical, political or military gain in this for PEACE whatsoever. More on this matter can be found here: link

To be honest, this war is pathetic. PEACE is throwing huge amounts of resources and gold on this. This makes it all the more funnier as I have already spoken to many Austrians as well as several Germans. They all assured me that as soon as this war is over, they will re-merge again. This union between Germany and Austria was done democratically and the majority of both countries was in favour of this merge. Soon they will remerge again. So, to PEACE I can only say: have fun wasting gold!

In other news, our public forum has finally been set up. I’ve started with something small and only a few subfora, but in time, once we see if this works or not, it can expand. There are however some rules concerning this forum:

-This is a social ATLANTIS forum, all pro-PEACE and anti-ATLANTIS posts are simply removed and the poster banned. With a team of around 30 moderators (all presidents, MoD’s, Mofa’s and Intel directors), that shouldn’t take long. So you'll just be wasting time by trying anyway.

- There is a media section. You can post in that section the links to pro-ATLANTIS articles. This is only for pro-ATLANTIS articles. If you use it for your own gain to post some non-related article up, it will be removed and you will be banned. As simple as that.

-In the off-topic section, some spam is allowed but don’t exaggerate.
Apart from that, the normal forum rules apply. This forum is mainly set up to learn to know the ppl from other ATLANTIS countries and have a friendly chat with them.

Political takeovers

The congressional elections have passed last week and this where some tense times for ATLANTIS. We had takeover attempts in Norway, Canada, Israel, Croatia and Bosnia Herzegovina. We succeeded in preventing them all thanks to the great help and cooperation of citizens from all memberstate's, for which I thank them all. Everyone involved in preserving the sovereignty and freedom of our members, I thank you for your support and hope that ATLANTIS will continue to count on it.

Staying on the topic of Political takeovers, I have some bad news as well... As stated above, Norway was the target of a Hungarian-Iranian takeover last week. With the help of many ATLANTIS citizens we managed to achieve a close victory on them and remained to keep a small majority in the Norwegian congress. This time the Takeover force has returned, and they came back with more of them. We will need every vote we have this time. The same applies to Poland. They too had to find out that they are going to be targeted by the such a low and disgraceful trick. Both are at risk of being taken over if we don’t act. Several countries have already promised to send troops to vote, but we will need more. Takeovers are the lowest form of tactics known to this game. We must make a stand to this and show these groups that such a low tactic is not the choice of honest playing citizens. We must show them that we are trough tolerating them. That is why I ask every citizens who has a spare vote and wants to help out a fellow ally, to either move to Poland or Norway, and vote for freedom, democracy and friendship.


Mobile squad

In our weekly update on the squad I am pleased to announce that Hassan and Misho are almost finished. They’ve already selected most of the soldiers they want in the squad and even had a IRC meeting with them a few days ago. The project is going very good and more on this will come soon.
