there was nothing wrong with the moomoo article in spirit although I also agree with nogin the facts might not have been 100% correct. The blame thrown on people for pointing out the misdeeds of Sluagh in the past was way out of line. There was a different regime then and different dynamics. What angered most was that there are so many honest players in the country why after just returning from the enemy was he lifted above all like some kind of hero and honest players ignored for positions like MOC or captain of the Irish Army. Indeed he did come a long way and is a more mature to a certain extent player than he was then and the dynamics and his depression would mean it would not be correct to attack him anymore. But we should guard from protecting him from any attack.

a good example of a misguided pity party is the attack on Adam Sandler based on a request probably the wardrobe manager/director of one of his films made to Rose Mcgowan.

The one article I read started like the normal Internet attack. First attack Sandlers intelligence according to article he only makes and stars in stupid movies.

So this Rose woman argues that she dont want to star in his movie. Yeah some is bad some is kinda good some I even liked. The guy did 50 movies . This must earn respect as its a career similar to Michael Caine. So he has a body of work and wrote some stuff himself and is a comedian. Since when did comedy need to be clever and intelligent 100% of the time. And he also starred in some movies which were not flawed on a premises basis for example Spanglish,probably reign over me, Funny People(as far as I can remember), and especially 'Punch Drunk Love'

So there is a comparison made that stupid movies = low money

So lets take his better work

Punch Drunk Love(really good movie) - Budget 25 million total earnings 24 millions probable made a slight profit on video.

Funny People - this was the entry that says a lot:

His movies that the critics liked fared poor whilst others they did not like fared great.

Even those that the critics liked did break even bar spanglish where the budget was to big at the start. But he still made 20 million from the movie. So for a supposedly very stupid person he does really well at the box office and may I add was People Choice Award winner for the last 5 years for comedian of the year.

I think its time to be honest. If you are going to take every hit on the chin and have no defenses and still get depressed each time someone attacks you.
